Acend dismantle Ballista Esports in a quick 2-0 victory

After both teams lost their Upper Bracket semi final showdowns against Team Heretics and Ninjas in Pyjamas respectively, Ballista Esports and Acend took their duel to the Lower Bracket in an attempt for redemption. The two squads are looking to show the European scene what they got, and continue their VCT 2021 - Stage 1 - Europe Masters run on the expense of the other.

Acend made sure to come out of the Icebox gates at full speed, taking the first 9 rounds convincingly, with Mehmet Yağız "cNed" İpek putting on a show with his trademark aggressive Jett. With a struggling economy, the comeback from Ballista Esports continued to prove more difficult with every passing round.

Ballista Esports managed to finally get a round on the scoreboard to make it 9-1. Unfortunately, that’s all they could manage to steal out of Acend on Icebox as it wasn’t enough to threaten their extensive lead. The latter took home Icebox and went into Bind after a comfortable 13-1 win.

A similar story was written on Bind, with Acend taking the lead with a quick 6 rounds off the start, shutting down Ballista Esports’ attack time and time again. Santeri "BONECOLD" Sassi shined throughout both maps with countless multikills to give his team the upper hand at the start of several rounds.

The squad’s dominance continued, building up on the early lead and mental advantage they got over Ballista Esports’ roster. The score extended to 12-3, and with Acend on series point, there was very little their oppositions could do to stop them.

A dominant performance takes Acend to the next round, while Ballista Esports ends their Masters run here.
