The champions of Brazil, LOUD have started their way from the qualifiers to lift the VCT 2022 - Brazil - Stage 1 - Main Event trophy. The Brazilian esports organization acquired Pancada e amigos’s roster to begin their VALORANT journey and now here they are, reaching VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík in their first-ever season.

Group Stage

LOUD’s group stage run started with a confident win over Gamelanders Blue. The first game of the group stage ended with a score of 2-0 for the side of LOUD, 13-9 on Bind, and 13-7 on Split. Erick "aspas" Santos stepped up with Chamber and Raze to help his team secure their first VCT 2022 - Brazil - Stage 1 - Main Event win of the season. Secondly, LOUD faced Liberty and the series ended in three games. Liberty got close to the victory screen but Bryan "pANcada" Luna had great Astra performances to carry his team on his shoulders. They secured the easiest win of the tournament for them in their third game of the tournament. TBK Lusa looked lost throughout the series, winning only four rounds in two maps and Bind 13-0 in favor of LOUD. Lastly, LOUD ended their group stage run with another sweep, this time over Team Vikings. Both maps ended 13-4, proving LOUD’s supremacy as they closed out the group stage without a single loss. The most important aspect was that a different player stepped up in all four games. LOUD players had each other’s back and they showed their capacity both individually and also as a team.

Playoffs

After dropping only one map during the group stage, LOUD took on Vivo Keyd Stars in the upper bracket semi finals. The first map ended in 14 rounds. Erick "aspas" Santos and his teammates demolished Vivo Keyd and took the advantage before going into the second map. Vivo Keyd had a better showing on Ascent, winning 8 rounds in total but their efforts weren’t enough to beat this year’s dominant team. LOUD reached the upper bracket final to face Ninjas in Pyjamas, this year’s newest VCT 2022 - Brazil - Stage 1 - Main Event team. NiP grabbed 11 rounds on their map pick, Haven but still fell short to beat their opponent. LOUD closed out the series after three games, completing a clean sweep to reach the grand final. Interestingly, their performance improved as the series went on and in the end, they were in their best shape so far. Lastly, LOUD played against Ninjas in Pyjamas once again but this time it was for the trophy. Just like the upper bracket final, LOUD’s supremacy continued as the team completed another sweep to lift the trophy and qualify for VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík. The Brazilian duelist, aspas, had another great performance, finishing the game with 59 kills in total and 12 first bloods.

Map Picks

LOUD had a short regular season and playoff process as the whole regional season ended in seven games. They have two maps that were picked three times each, Bind and Ascent. It wouldn’t be rational to focus on one map as LOUD have only lost one map in the entire league, which was Fracture. They won six games on Bind and Ascent. Moreover, one of their Bind games ended with a score of 13-0. It won’t be easy for them to dominate the international stage but it is possible saying that their map pool is not narrow.

Player to watch

  • Brazil Erick "aspas" Santos

As mentioned above, LOUD had different players stepping up during the group stage games. aspas was among those players but he showed his quality, especially during the playoffs. He is holding a 1.32 rating and a 1.53 K/D for the past two months, leading the league in both statistics. Moreover, he is on top of the ACS and ADR stats, 263.8 and 168.8 respectively. The Brazilian player has proven himself, especially with Jett. However, he has also played Raze and Chamber. aspas has one of the best aims, looking at his current form and it will be interesting to see him compete internationally.

LOUD’s current roster is:

Brazil Erick "aspas" Santos Brazil Felipe "Less" de Loyola Basso Brazil Bryan "pANcada" Luna Argentina Matias "Saadhak" Delipetro Brazil Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi

Brazil Matheus "bzkA" Tarasconi (Coach)
