Less than 2 weeks ago, Cloud9 picked up the all-women roster who dominated the FTW Summer Showdown, MAJKL, renaming them to Cloud9 White and the men’s team to Cloud9. The organization has now revealed two new staff additions to their lineup, Chris "Dream" Myrick and Jornen "MoonChopper" Nishiyama. Both are decorated coaches in their respective previous games, now making their transition into the VALORANT scene. Both have been working with the team since its inception, so it was probably time to make things official.

Jornen "MoonChopper" Nishiyama is a coach who guided Morning Light through most of their competitions. He coached them to a win in the Matrix VALORANT Legends, Pittsburgh Knights Invitational Gauntlet Series Closed Invitational, as well as a 2nd place finish in the GFUEL Energy Games and 4th place in the PULSE Series.

MoonChopper is a former Paladins player for Renegades, with whom he managed to reach 3rd in both the 2018 NA PPL Summer Split and Fall Split. Following these competitions, he got 3rd in the PWC 2020 Placement before finishing 5th-8th in the Paladins World Championship 2020.

As for Chris "Dream" Myrick, he spent most of his Overwatch coaching career with the Houston Outlaws’ staff. During that time, he managed to get 9th-12th in both the Overwatch League 2020 May Melee and Countdown Cup.

The team finished 16th in the Overwatch League 2020 Regular Season, and placed 12th-13th in the North America Playoffs. Dream doesn’t have any previous VALORANT coaching experience, but his transition into the scene shows he is willing to explore new realms and might surprise a few with how much knowledge he is bringing over from Overwatch.

Cloud9 White finished 17th-32nd in the recent First Strike North America - NSG Tournament - Open Qualifier, with Dream and MoonChopper unofficially coaching the team then. However, with time and the new permanently appointed coaches, the organization is looking for a better performance going into the next qualifier.

Cloud9 White VALORANT roster consists of:

Canada Jasmine “Jazzyk1ns” Manankil United States Annie “AnnieDro” Roberts Canada Melanie “meL” Capone United States Alexis “alexis” Guarrasi United States katsumi

United States Chris "Dream" Myrick (Head Coach) Japan Jornen "MoonChopper" Nishiyama (Strategic Coach)
