Counter-Strike veteran pashaBiceps launches VALORANT academy
There is not a single Counter-Strike fan who doesn’t know who Jarosław "pashaBiceps" Jarząbkowski is. The Polish veteran has earned himself sort of a “legend” status not only internationally but most importantly in his home country, Poland, where partly thanks to him and his achievements, the local fanbase grew tremendously.
After leaving Virtus.pro in 2019, he was trialed by a local organization, x-kom AGO, and eventually, earlier this year got announced as an official streamer of Team Liquid, and an Ambassador of the brand in Europe. We could consider this as a part of a bigger movement, in which the point is to popularize Team Liquid in Europe, as just two days after announcing pasha as a streamer, the organization officially welcomed the brand new division under their wings, a European VALORANT team.
Even though some of you can link the word “school” with the famous pasha London School, the Pole is a part of a far more serious project, Pasha Gaming School, where the purpose is to help players in Poland, at different ages and skill levels, find a place to train, practice, and develop their technique. The best players are receiving help and feedback from pasha himself, and what’s more, the possibility to play with other professional players from Poland. Besides that, there is obviously some money to win and valuable points. All of this is happening through FACEIT hubs.
Until now, pasha was supporting Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players, but his recent announcement revealed his interest in the Riot Games’ shooter, as he just revealed a new VALORANT FACEIT hub to be launched in a few days, as a part of Pasha Gaming School.
The new “VALORANT class” is scheduled to be open next Saturday, October 17th, 2020, but players can already sign up to the hub until more news is provided by the organizer.
It’s not the first time when we see the members of the legendary Virtus.pro roster have some connection to VALORANT. In April this year, pasha’s former teammates, Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas, and Filip "NEO" Kubski, participated in the VALORANT Launch Events organized by Twitch, as well as in the G2 Esports European Brawl. While it is rather unlikely that we will see pasha ever competing in VALORANT, it is definitely good to see players of such renown as him popularizing the scene even more in Europe, especially with the lack of tier 1 organizations involved in the region.
