At the age of 27, Damian "daps" Steele has decided to leave NRG Esports while also stepping down from playing professional VALORANT. During the three years that he played with NRG as a professional esports player (around two years in CS:GO), daps managed to win several titles including cs_summit 3, IEM Shanghai 2018 and more recently in VALORANT the NSG x Complexity VALORANT Open Qualifier.

In VCT Stage 2, NRG has made very good progress after signing Android and tex alongside daps, s0m and eeiu. The team had made it through the open qualifier in Challengers 2 after beating Luminosity Gaming and have placed 3rd in Challengers 2 to qualify to Challengers Final in which they ended up 5th-6th after losing to Version1. During his stay with NRG, daps has mainly played the sentinel or controller role focusing on Cypher, Killjoy, Omen and lately Viper.

While there is no future defined after this news the community surely can't wait to hear what daps has in mind who might take roles such as coaching or team management either in CS:GO or VALORANT.

With this change NRG are now:

United States Sam "s0m" Oh Canada Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic Canada Bradley "ANDROID" Fodor United States Ian "tex" Botsch

United States Josh "JoshRT" Lee (Head coach)
