Ninjas in Pyjamas were one of the first organisations to enter VALORANT, where, in the closed beta, they moved over their Paladins roster. The team quickly fell apart though, and NiP restarted their VALORANT endeavours, first signing Emir "rhyme" Muminovic and Niels "luckeRRR" Jasiek, before completing their squad with the HypHypHyp core, Damien "HyP" Souville, Charles "CREA" Beauvois, and Enzo "Enzo" Mestari. Since unveiling their new roster, they have been constantly looking for a Head Coach, whose role they have now filled with Emil "eMIL" Sandgren.

eMIL started his career in Overwatch over 4 years ago, where he played as a Flex Tank. Over his time in the game, he played alongside many players, including Leo "Leodeddz" Nilsson, Oliwer "LATEKS" Fahlander, and Andreas "Epzz" Vallvingskog. The Swede had his first big breakthrough in 2019, where he was signed by German organisation, Angry Titans, to play in their Overwatch Contenders roster. After impressing peers, he ended up moving to North America to play in Gladiators Legion, but the prospect came crashing down on December 4th, 2020, when Gladiators dropped their roster and eMIL returned home to Sweden.

Now entering VALORANT, he decided to build and coach a roster with his twin, Erik "d00mbr0s" Sandgren, and old teammates, LATEKS and Leodeddz. The team, known as FABRIKEN, was one of the most promising in Europe, but after unsuccessful attempts at finding an organization together, the core of the roster split. While d00mbr0s, Johan "Meddo" Lundborg, Tobias "ShadoW" Flodström, and Pontus "Zyppan" Eek went to FunPlus Phoenix, eMIL chose to look for another promising Swedish line-up, joining Guild Esports, where he coached ex-NiP player Malkolm "bonkar" Rench. During his time with the Swedish mix, he helped the squad achieve success at LVL VALORANT Clash 2, where they came second, dominating teams like Souldazz and Orgless, and even beating Team Liquid.

"Ever since I started in esports, joining the legendary NiP has been a dream of mine. As a Swede, I couldn’t be more honoured to represent Ninjas in Pyjamas and make this dream a reality. I’m very excited to join their VALORANT team as the new Head Coach, and I’m prepared to put my heart and soul into this!," says eMIL in the official announcement.

Showing his strength in his coaching role, and the ability to keep a competitive roster, eMIL has caught the eyes of Ninjas in Pyjamas, who now sign him ahead of BLAST Valorant Twitch Invitational.

This makes Ninjas in Pyjamas’ roster:

Bosnia and Herzegovina Emir "rhyme" Muminovic Germany Niels "luckeRRR" Jasiek France Damien "HyP" Souville France Enzo "Fearoth" Mestari France Charles "CREA" Beauvois

Sweden Emil "eMIL" Sandgren (Coach)
