The last EMEA representative of VCT 2022 - Champions Istanbul will be clear soon as the LCQ is about to start. VCT 2022 - EMEA Last Chance Qualifier will feature eight teams from the region and the champion of the event will qualify for the biggest VALORANT tournament of the year. Here is everything you need to know about the LCQ!

Format

The competition welcomes the teams that have the highest circuit points besides Fnatic and FunPlus Phoenix, who have already guaranteed a spot in İstanbul. Other than the top two teams of the region, the rest of the top ten will battle against each other to clinch the last EMEA spot. Just like VCT 2022 - North America Last Chance Qualifier, the EMEA leg of the tournament will also include an Upper Bracket and a Lower Bracket. Teams have been drawn into four different Upper Bracket Quarter Final matches and the winners of these games will move on to the Semi Finals. However, it will not be the end of the road for the first-round losers as mentioned above, Lower Bracket will be waiting for them. In other words, it will be the classical Double-Elimination bracket that we are now used to. Except for the Grand Final, which will be Bo5, all the other stages of the competition will be Bo3.

Participating Teams

  • G2 Esports
  • OG LDN Utd
  • M3 Champions
  • Acend
  • Team Liquid
  • BBL Esports
  • Guild Esports
  • Natus Vincere

G2 Esports are the third team that have the most circuit points with 305, after FPX and Fnatic. They managed to grab most of the points by participating in the first Masters event of the second stage. Guild Esports follow them with 300 and the list continues.

VCT Stage 2 EMEA Performances

Considering the latest tournament that these teams have competed in, Guild Esports are one step ahead. With their great performances throughout the second stage, Guild managed to reach the VCT 2022 - EMEA - Stage 2 - Challengers - Playoffs Lower Bracket Final and have their names written for the VCT 2022 - Stage 2 - Masters Copenhagen. However, they made a roster change some time ago, as covered and we still don’t know how this will affect their performance in the upcoming tournament.

M3 Champions had gone to the furthest point after Guild in the previous regional challenge. The Russian team reached the Lower Bracket Semi Finals but they couldn’t take down FunPlus Phoenix despite giving them a great challenge. M3C will also compete with a slightly different roster as Nikita "d3ffo" Sudakov is out and Yaroslav "Jady" Nikolaev and Seymon "purp0" Borchev have been added to the roster.

Apart from those two, Acend and Team Liquid left the tournament very early, losing both of their opening matches. G2, BBL, Na’Vi, and OG LDN Utd did not even qualify for playoffs.
