The North American esports team, Evil Geniuses have announced their roster for the upcoming VCT 2023 Americas League tournament. The organization decided to keep its existing roster which consists of Potter, Boostio, C0M, jawgemo, Apothen, and reformed. On top of the existing players, Ethan, and Bcj have joined the organization to form the new EG roster.

Evil Geniuses joined the North American VALORANT scene at the beginning of the VCT 2021 season. However, the organization only competed at NSG tournaments as they failed to get past any NA Challengers qualifiers. EG made it to the big league in the 2022 season but their first effort was not enough, failing to get a single win in the group stage of VCT 2022: NA Stage 1 Challengers. The new roster performed a lot better than the previous one and finally, EG competed at VCT 2022 North America Last Chance Qualifier but missed the chance to represent their region at VALORANT Champions 2022.

Potter, Boostio, C0M, jawgemo, Apotheon, and reformed formed the “much successful” EG roster in the 2022 season. Even though C0M and Apoth joined the roster later than the other three, they formed great chemistry and EG decided to keep their core, heading into the 2023 season. The organization decided to add more experience to the lineup and acquired Ethan and Bcj. Ethan’s latest stop was NRG but he left the team after their run at NA LCQ came to an end. Bcj on the other hand is the most experienced player on the roster. He is the reigning NA VALORANT champion and he also represented the region at VALORANT Champions 2022. jawgemo and Boostio are the rating leaders of the team with both players holding a 1.12 rating.

In the announcement, Evil Geniuses also revealed that the team coach, Potter, will also stick with the organization. With that being said, EG’s roster for the upcoming season is:

United States Kelden "Boostio" Pupello Canada Jeffrey "Reformed" Lu United States Alexander "jawgemo" Mor United States Corbin "C0M" Lee Canada Vince "Apotheon" Le United States Brendan "BcJ" Jensen United States Ethan "Ethan" Arnold

United States Christine "Potter" Chi (Head Coach) United States Jimmy "LiN" Lin (Assistant Coach)
