Turkish organisation, FUT Esports are well known in the region with their many FIFA players but also hosted teams in games such as Dota 2 and PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS. Founded in 2017, they have quite a lot of backing, with sponsorships from PUMA and Red Bull. Futbolist now uses that support to pick up a VALORANT roster.

The roster signed is LOL-, which is composed of İbrahim Temizel "mag0o" Temizel, Emre "sterben" Demirci, Salih "marqnue" Onaran, Ufuk "SasuKe" Göktaş, and Buğra "MOJJ" Kiraz.

Sasuke is the squad’s Sova, opting into Raze for Split. The Turk has a history in Counter-Strike, playing for many squads. His most successful was Dark Passage, where he played alongside Muhammed "mini" Salman winning four QuickShot Arenas in a row, starting with the 27th installment.

When the squad left Dark Passage, one of Sasuke's teammates was picked up by Space Soldiers, but the squad quickly found a stand-in, with STERBEN. STERBEN’s career was shaky at first, but after impressing peers, he found himself on Arena Bulls, where he won ESL Turkey Championship Summer 2018 Finals and even found himself qualifying for ESEA MDL Season 29 Europe’s Relegation event.

Arena Bull was also the home of mojj, who after impressing with LOG, joined the roster in late 2019. While there he helped the squad claim runner-up at ESL Turkey Championship Summer 2019 Finals. He transitioned to VALORANT with STERBEN, where both have taken up supportive roles, with Sage and Omen respectively.

Marqnue is the squad's Sentinel, preferring to play Cypher. He has a storied history, starting his professional career in 2014 with a stand-in stint at Space Soldiers, where he took second place at ESL South East Europe Championship Season 1. He has since then gone on to win the Balkan Challenge but stayed to local competition until VALORANT’s release.

The fifth, mag0o played with Turkish squad, Royal Bandits in CS:GO, going through an entire season of Mountain Dew League Europe but has really impressed with his Jett entries with the squad. As of the entry, the Turk has managed an equal 1 KD, with 28 Multi Kills on his record.

While together as LOL-, the squad started by qualifying for Trovo Challenge - Europe, finishing in the top eight with mini instead of mojj. mojj then went on to play with the squad, qualifying and winning Intel Gaming Fest - 2020 - Final over local rivals Oxygen Esports. On the same weekend, they had also lost the finals of RYZEN 4000 Cup against the same opposition. Most recently, they had a great run at Valorant Contenders Cup finishing in 5th-6th after only losing to both finalists.

The announcement has the Turkish roster join the likes of Oxygen Esports, BBL Esports and the recently signed Sangal Esports as a race to be the best in the Turkish region. With First Strike having its own regional event for Turkey, we will have to see who will succeed.

Futbolist’s entry into VALORANT is:

Turkey Salih "marqnue" Onaran Turkey İbrahim Temizel "mag0o" Temizel Turkey Buğra "mojj" Kiraz Turkey Ufuk "SasuKe" Göktaş Turkey Emre "STERBEN" Demirci
