G2 Esports has today announced the completion of their VALORANT roster ahead of VCT 2022 by picking up former Giants Gaming players & coach, Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas, Johan "Meddo" Lundborg & Daniil "pipsoN" Meshcheryakov whilst French player Cista "keloqz" Wassim has been moved to the bench.

The former Giants Gaming players enjoyed a successful spell towards the end of 2021 where they picked up 3rd place finish in the Red Bull Home Ground #2 - Main Event, which would be their last event under Giants.

hoody has been instrumental for his previous team and picked up a 1.16 rating, 228.780 ACS and 152.10 ADR over the past 3 months. The Finnish star looks to continue his impressive performances into the VALORANT Champions Tour 2022.

Meddo is well known for his time on FunPlus Phoenix before joining Giants Gaming, the Swede usually plays Cypher as does Auni "AvovA" Chahade so some rearranging might be set for the European players but Meddo brings G2 Esports a 0.88 rating, 178.70 ACS and 123.10 ADR and that combined with the link up with hoody it’s a perfect transition to G2.

pipsoN has been coaching for some time now in VALORANT after his playing career and it certainly showed for Giants Gaming how much of an impact he made to the team and G2 Esports look to fill the void that Neil ‘neilzinho’ Finlay left. Having worked with hoody and Meddo for some time, it would seem likely that the Russian coach will look to bring his game book along with him and mould the team as he did with Giants Gaming.

G2 Esports are now complete with the following roster:

Oscar Cañellas "mixwell" Colocho Auni "AvovA" Chahade Žygimantas "nukkye" Chmieliauskas Aaro "hoody" Peltokangas Johan "Meddo" Lundborg Daniil "pipsoN" Meshcheryakov (Coach)
