The official Riot Games’ tournament circuit for VALORANT, Ignition Series, has been successful in all regions around the world. We’ve just got to know about the last event of this cycle being hosted in Europe this weekend, by one of the biggest tournament organizers in the esports industry, BLAST, known mainly for its activity in the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive scene. Following the announcement of BLAST Valorant Twitch Invitational, exciting news has come from another region, this time from Brazil.

After a very successful first event in Brazil back in July 2020, Gamers Club, that at that time partnered with Bank of Brazil to host the Gamers Club Ultimate, announced today the launch of the second edition of this event, which will be part of the Ignition Series as well, called Gamers Club Ultimate II. The prize pool has increased greatly from the last time, as during the second edition of the tournament, the teams will battle for their share of R$35,000 BRL (~ 6,527$ USD) which is 75% more than what was available in the previous edition.

The registration to the Open Qualifier will officially launch on September 10th, 2020, at 5 PM BRT. After that, between September 14-16th, an Open Qualifier will take place every day. Each day, a maximum of 128 teams will be able to take part in the competition, in which the best eight teams will advance to the Closed Qualifier on September 21st, 2020.

In the Closed Qualifier, we will see a total of 32 teams: 24 from the Open Qualifier, and the best eight from the previous edition of the event - Gamers Club Ultimate. Once again, the best eight teams will advance further, this time to the main phase of the tournament.

At the end of this month, we will know the new Champions of Brazil. The best eight teams from the Closed Qualifier will be divided into two groups: the first group will play on September 25th, 2020, and the second group one day later on September 26th, 2020. The Semifinals and Finals’ games are scheduled for September 27th, 2020. Both will be played in the best-of-3 format.

During the previous Ignition Series event in Brazil, we saw Gamelanders Blue winning in the Finals in dominant fashion. Who will claim the championship title this time? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
