Kansas City Pioneers have finally announced the acquisition of Noah "jcStani" Smith as their fifth man. The news comes just a day after former player Lucas "fiziq" Blow was revealed to be released from the team.

jcStani has been an ever present member of the VALORANT community, starting his professional career with Immortals last year. After representing them for a year, he chose not to re-sign and entered the market as a free agent. NYFU picked him up shortly after, but his gig with them did not last long, only featuring at VCT 2021 - Stage 3 - North America - Challengers 2 - Open Qualifier.

Most recently, jcStani had been playing on trial with Pioneers and after they secured a second place finish at Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet 2021 - October: Dance of the Skulls, it seemed like a matter of time before a deal was struck.

The in-game leader boasts a wide repertoire of agents, having played on Astra, Killjoy, and Skye as of late. Alongside that, he has amassed a 1.03 rating and 206 ACS throughout his career. After their recent successes, it will be interesting to see if the jcStani and the team can keep their form at Community Gaming VALORANT Elite Showdown - Main Event today, where he will be making his official debut.

Pioneers also confirmed yesterday that fiziq has been fully released from his contract with the organization and is free to join other teams.

The American enjoyed a quick two month period on the team, notably playing in NA Challengers 1 and Challengers 2 events but finishing poorly in all of them. Following an early exit from BoomTV Proving Grounds - Season 2, he was benched alongside two other team members, and has been playing for multiple squads since.

fiziq will also be making an appearance today at VALORANT Elite Showdown with SoaR, a lineup featuring former Luminosity Gaming player Brenden "stellar" McGrath and former TSM member Sean "bang" Bezerra.

Kansas City Pioneers are now:

United States Jason “jmoh” Mohandessi United States Jamal “jammyz” Bangash United States Noah “jcStani” Smith United States Brady “thief” Dever Canada Tristan “Critical” Trinacty
