Mumbai receives dedicated VALORANT servers
Not long after we heard the news on the VALORANT Middle East servers going live, it was time for Mumbai to receive a similar treatment. As promised before, we were expecting both the Middle Eastern and Indian servers to release before the end of the year, and both of them are finally here.
The servers are located in Mumbai and are part of Southeast Asia shard. They will allow VALORANT players from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives, and those close to the new dedicated server to enjoy a much smoother experience with lower ping.
VALORANT India & South Asia’s Facebook page shared a statement celebrating the server’s release and what it means to the region. They also revealed players won’t have to transfer their account or take any additional steps to play on the Mumbai servers other than simply choosing them in the settings.
“It took us some time, but we’re finally doing it - the VALORANT Mumbai game servers will go live on the 14th of October 2020. With our new Mumbai and Bahrain servers, we hope our players can enjoy a very low latency Valorant gameplay experience, as we keep pushing towards this goal across the South Asia region,” shared VALORANT India & South Asia.
The regional support Riot Games is starting to roll out to various regions all but shows the studio’s ambitions and plans for each of their First Strike tournaments to be as successful as possible, with the recent set of SEA tournaments kicking off later in October.
