Report: Sentinels looking to sign pANcada and Sacy; Dapr allowed a substitute spot
As you might be aware from following our previous articles as well as the rumblings on Social Media, Sentinels is looking to restructure their entire roster and have so far announced their new coaching staff as well as the addition of a former XSET player. According to George Geddes’ recent report, Sentinels have set their eyes on two LOUD players namely Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi and Bryan "pANcada" Luna.
During the inaugural season of VCT, Sentinels had become a household name courtesy of their international performances and the hype they had built in the community. Unfortunately, VCT 2022 wasn’t as graceful to them as they failed to produce significant results in either of the Stages and couldn’t keep up with other teams in the Last Chance Qualifiers either.
In contrast, LOUD made a name for themselves as one of the best teams in the world despite not being in Valorant scene coming into 2022. From the first tournament they ever participated in, their dominance in the region became apparent as they won Stage 1 Main Event without dropping a single map against the likes of NIP, Vivo Keyd and FURIA and then subsequently found themselves at the Grand Finals of VCT 2022 - Stage 1 - Masters Reykjavík outplaying the biggest names on the international stage. They continued their exceptional performance in regional tournaments staying undefeated throughout all stages, and ultimately earned a spot at VCT 2022 - Champions Istanbul through consecutive Masters qualifications. OpTic Gaming to their and the region’s first international trophy on the biggest stage in competitive Valorant. pANcada and Sacy had, without a doubt, a significant impact to the team’s performance throughout the year especially the former winning the THESPIKE.GG’s Champions MVP.
In several tournaments, pANcada played with five different Agents making him one of the most effective versatile players. Several other players attempted to do the same but were unable to enjoy the same consistency he did. Finishing with a 1.15 Rating, 210.5 ACS and 1.25 KD speaks volumes about pANcada’s importance on the roster and his viability as a future pick for the sentinels. Metrics alone don’t provide a clear picture of Sacy’s role on the team, but his presence in competitive matches is a force to be reckoned with.
With speculations about potential roster moves, the question that comes to mind is who will be asked to leave to make space on the roster. So far, Sentinels had let go all but three members of the roster with the probability of Shahzam leaving soon as well. However today, [player= 427] announced that the organization had given him the opportunity to remain as a substitute on the roster or look for new opportunities. He hasn’t responded as to which option he plans to pick for the upcoming season so Sentinels roster for the following season if this report holds true is:
Tyson "TenZ" Ngo Zachary "zekken" PatroneGustavo "Sacy" Rossi.
Bryan "pANcada" LunaMichael "dapr" Gulino (Uncertain) Shahzeb "ShahZaM" Khan (Uncertain) Don "SyykoNT" Muir (Head Coach) Adam "kaplan" Kaplan (Strategic Coach)
