Just two months after his addition to the team, Johann "seven" Hernandez has been benched by T1.

The Mexican joined from 100 Thieves back in January, where he had spent three months as a substitute. Unfortunately for seven, the team failed to qualify for VALORANT Champions 2021 and the youngster did not end up playing a single official match for the organization.

seven’s time with T1 has not gone as planned, missing out on NA Stage 1 Challengers thanks to consecutive early exits at VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 1 - Open Qualifier 1 in January and VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 1 - Open Qualifier 2 in February. He played his last event with the South Korean organization at the Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet 2022 - February, where they went out in the quarterfinals after a 1-2 loss to Renegades.

Even though seven did struggle against good opposition in the VCT Qualifiers, he clearly still is a potent player with a 1.16 rating and 241 throughout his career, and he showed that quality at the February Pittsburgh Knights Monthly Gauntlet where he was one of the top rated players with a 1.23 rating on Skye, Chamber, and Jett.

By virtue of this early change, T1 will have a couple of months before VCT 2022 - North America - Stage 2 - Open Qualifier 1 to find and practice with a new player.

T1 are now:

United States Rahul "curry" Nemani United States Zander "thwifo" Kim Canada Joshua "steel" Nissan United States Josh "pwny" VanGorder

Mexico Johann "seven" Hernandez (benched)
