Vikingekrig Esports announce a six-man VALORANT roster
Vikingekrig Esports is a Czech-Slovak organization that was founded at the end of 2018. From that time the organization was active in another Riot Games’ title, League of Legends, as well as other games: PUBG, Hearthstone, and CS:GO, and participated in local LANs. When it comes to the esports industry the company is focusing on the domestic scene and the popularization of certain titles among the esports fans in the country.
Despite the fact that none of the players have competed in any tournaments before on the professional level, most of them have experience in games like CS:GO, and so far are doing quite well on the VALORANT scene by competing in a variety of community tournaments.
“We knew some of the guys for a few years and we were observing their performance since they started playing VALORANT as a team. We were glad that they have found success in the tournaments and we quickly started the negotiations about them coming under our wings. We have found an agreement relatively fast and we believe that we can achieve a lot together with this squad,” tells us Radek Mikušovský, CEO of Vikingekrig Esports.
The team consists of players from Czechia but also Slovakia. The members are Matyáš “Improvegamer” Čížek, who represents the team as the captain, Marek “BoViii” Peško, Jakub “brinq” Bravanský, Štěpán “Ambi” Beránek, and Maroš “DaRyKesT” Pavlus. What’s interesting in this squad is the fact that the organization has decided to pull a six-man roster on board. The sixth member is Jakub “Dropik” Mihalovič, who is right now a substitute player.
“Our expectations are really high. We believe that the competitive part of VALORANT is heading the right way and will be diverse as much as possible, so we can play as many tournaments as we want. Right now we look forward to the official release of the game and for the first upcoming LAN tournaments. We really like the fact that the organization of VALORANT tournaments is not limited too much, which means a healthy environment in the near future. Our aims are the highest. We have a lot to fix, but we really want to become the NO.1 team in Czechia and Slovakia and represent our country in Europe. Right now, we just want to win our National Championship or its equivalent and represent Vikingekrig in European tournaments,” says the captain of the team, Matyáš “Improvegamer” Čížek.
The team has started to participate in currently hosted online tournaments, and managed to win some of those organized on the local scene. The team and the organization have a desire to not only dominate the Czech-Slovak scene but to also be a good representation of these countries during the international competition.
“We believe that VALORANT will become one of the most-watched esports in the World. We also think that VALORANT is going to be really successful in the CZSK scene and will become a TOP 3 esport game in the upcoming year, right next to League of Legends and CS:GO,” adds Mikušovský.
Vikingekrig will as always follow their philosophy that comes from their name: Viking and krig (da. war), to be strong, resilient, and persevering like Vikings, and to keep the fight that they lead across all the titles they have the teams participating.
Vikingekrig Esports roster consists of:
Matyáš “Improvegamer” Čížek Marek “BoViii” Peško Jakub “brinq” Bravanský Štěpán “Ambi” Beránek Maroš “DaRyKesT” Pavlus Jakub “Dropik” Mihalovič (Substitute)
