Riot Games have officially released a press statement in relation to a violation that Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro have made during Masters Reykjavik. On the 28th of May, when Version1 was going to play Fnatic in the Lower Bracket, Zellsis "made a categorically offensive and discriminatory remark about a tournament official". In light of this, Zellsis was found in violation of the 7.1.2 rule from the Global Competition Policy.

Rule 7.1.2 states:

"All Teams and Team Members must observe the highest standards of personal integrity and good sportsmanship at all times. Team Members must behave in a professional and sportsmanlike anner in their interactions with other competitors, Tournament Officials, the Tournament Operator, the media, sponsors and fans, as further discussed in Section 7.3."

Zellsis will not be allowed to play during Challengers 1 of VCT Stage 3 and that includes both the Open Qualifier and the Closed Qualifier. Version1 has already made an official statement about this ruling, confirming the news and accepting to replace Zellsis temporarily with a substitute during his ban. Will Jamal "jammyz" Bangash be back again with Version1 after filling in for Maxim "wippie" Shepelev during Stage 2 Masters due to traveling problems?
