VALORANT Oni 2.0 Bundle: Legendary Skinline Revival
In late February 2023, VALORANT on Twitter teased a comeback of the legendary Oni skinline, one of the go-to skins for the Phantom. The anticipated Oni 2.0 bundle was launched on March 7 alongside Episode 6 Act 2 and was available in the shop until March 21. This upgraded version of the Oni collection introduced five new weapons and a katana melee. The second version of the Oni bundle is in no way inferior to the first, and its standout knife skin, Onimaru Kunitsuna, makes it second to none for many players.
We've called the Oni Phantom one of the best skins out there, and now Vandal lovers also have an opportunity to add the bundle to their skin collection and use it on their favorite gun.
Oni 2.0 weapons and their prices
Building upon the foundation of the renowned original Oni bundle, Oni 2.0 introduces a wide selection of five weapons and a knife, available for 7,100 VALORANT Points (VP) for a set:
1. Oni Vandal (1,775 VP)
2. Oni Ares (1,775 VP)
3. Oni Bulldog (1,775 VP)
4. Oni Frenzy (1,775 VP)
5. Katana Melee, Onimaru Kunitsuna (5,350 VP)
Oni 2.0 collection follows the premium-tier tradition like its predecessor – to unlock different skin variants, visual & sound effects, animations, and finishers the player must spend extra Radiante Points (RP).
What makes Oni 2.0 truly stand out?
Being significantly different from the RGX Katana, Onimaru Kunitsuna Katana, was the most anticipated part of the Oni 2.0 collection. At first glance, the basic version visuals might seem underwhelming, as the Katana stays mostly sheathed. However, Onimaru Kunitsuna’s inspection delivers one of the most extraordinary melee animations in VALORANT, truly unleashing the beauty of this skin.
Oni 2.0 Upgrades and Cosmetics
While the animations of basic weapons versions are relatively simple, the upgraded versions are far more important: they contain all classic Oni elements, such as Devil breath and lights or Oni demon glowing animation as the weapon’s magazine is being switched during the reload.
Each of the Oni 2.0 weapons comes with 4 upgrade tiers, while the Katana features only 2 levels. Both the weapons and the Onimaru Kunitsuna have the same 3 variants.
Oni 2.0 Weapon Levels:
- Level 1: Custom gun model
- Level 2: Custom firing audio (Japanese guns sound) and muzzle flash
- Level 3: Custom equip, reload, and idle visual effects & audio
- Level 4: Finisher and a kill banner
Onimaru Kunitsuna Levels:
- Level 1: Custom model
- Level 2: Custom animations & visual effects
Weapons & Knife Variants:
- Variant 1: Gold or Black
- Variant 2: Pink or Mint
- Variant 3: Blue or White
The sprays and player cards of Oni 2.0 are a major integral part of the new collection, as they were specially designed for this new skinline. Their style matches the guns, and their animations and fits perfectly into the theme of both Oni collections.
Where can I buy Oni 2.0 skins right now?
Even though the collection was available only until March 21, it could still be found in the game and purchased on some occasions. Currently, some of the weapons can randomly appear in the daily shop rotation – if you want to acquire some of the great Oni 2.0 skins, do not miss out and regularly check the updates of the daily shop.
In the future, the Oni 2.0 skins may be featured in the Run It Back bundle or the Give Back bundle, but with so many rare VALORANT skins out there, chances are very slim. In the end, if you want an Oni 2.0 Vandal, your best bet would be to buy it when it appears in your daily shop rotation.
