How to sign out of VALORANT
Signing out of VALORANT is necessary and often needed for a lot of reasons. You might play VALORANT and League of Legends, or even one of Riot Games’ other titles, on different accounts, and the ‘Keep Me Signed In’ button is a pain in your backside.
There is no denying that the Riot Client automatically logging you into the account you last played any of their games on can be annoying, so you will need to sign out for sure. Well this is how to sign out of your VALORANT account.
How to sign out and exit VALORANT
You might just need to log into a [Jett]https://www.thespike.gg/news/agents-of-valorant-jett/38) and Reyna only smurf account instead of playing at Ascendant on your Omen main account, but regardless, signing out has never been easier! Just follow these steps!
- Close any Riot Games application you have open
- Open up the Riot Client
- Click the Account button in the top right
- Press Sign Out
It is as simple as that, but you want to make sure that you don’t have this issue again, so what you need to do, is double-check that the ‘Keep Me Signed In’ tick box isn’t well…ticked.
The process of opening your Riot Client every time you want to sign out of one account and sign into another is tedious and time consuming, and you could be grinding the new Team Deathmatch mode instead, so just don’t make this mistake!
Why can’t I sign out of VALORANT?
If you can’t sign out of VALORANT you will normally get the message of “Please close other Riot Games products before signing out.”
This means what it sounds like, you have another Riot Games application open. When you open up VALORANT, the Riot Client also opens, which is classed as another Riot Games application.
You should just be able to easily close this, but if not, try closing it in your Task Manager like this:
- Press your Windows key
- Type in ‘Task Manager’
- Locate VALORANT, the Riot Games client or any other related application
- Right-Click and press ‘End Task’
If this doesn’t work, try restarting your PC to close everything. If you are still getting the same issue, then you need to contact Riot Games Support and submit a ticket under bugs.
