FanDuel is a household name that’s recognized across the globe. In December 2025, they launched FanDuel Predicts to allow users to buy event contracts that are tied to real-world outcomes. If you predict correctly, you’ll get $1 per correct contract.

The aim of this FanDuel Predicts prediction markets review is to shine a light on the features, so you can decide whether it’s the right platform for you. After spending a lot of time on the app, I got a good picture of the trading experience, so it’s time to share it with you.

How does FanDuel Predicts work?

First and foremost, let’s begin with the most important feature – the prediction markets. Quite simply, FanDuel Predicts is an app-based platform that allows you to predict the outcomes of specific real-world events. You would be forgiven for thinking that there are only sports contracts available here. After all, that’s exactly what I had imagined, too. Surprisingly, there are plenty of categories available, which I’ll cover shortly.

Let’s break down the FanDuel Predicts features into bite-sized chunks:

What is a prediction market?

At FanDuel Predicts, you will browse a list of categories to find an event that you want to forecast. This is done by buying a ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ event contract. So, if you think that an outcome is going to happen, you would buy the ‘Yes’ contract. Likewise, if you believe that the event will not happen, you would go for the ‘No’ contract. If you get it right, and the event resolves as you predicted, then each contract will settle at $1. On the other hand, if you got it wrong, you won’t get a payout at all.

Event contract prices fluctuate

Now, the event contract prices are variable. You will notice that they range somewhere between $0.01 and $0.99. The prices fluctuate depending on the market activity and the forecasted beliefs. For example, if a Yes contract is priced at $0.49, then the market is saying that it believes there is a 49% chance of that outcome happening. Naturally, the more likely the market thinks an outcome will occur, the higher the price.

As users trade more event contracts, the prices will continue to fluctuate. So, if more people buy Yes contracts to start with, this will drive the price up. However, if things change and the market gears more towards the outcome not happening, the No contract prices will increase, while the Yes contract prices drop.

You will find multiple contract types

The most common type of event contract is the binary Yes and No format. This is a simple format where you predict whether an outcome is going to happen or not. However, there are some other contract options available:

  • Multiple Choice: You are given several potential outcomes, all of which have their own Yes/No contracts.
  • Range-Based: These contracts are based on a numerical value within a specific range. For example, $50 to $100, $100 to $250, and so on.

Sports markets are the focal point

While FanDuel Predicts isn’t just about sports, it’s a major player on the app. As you would imagine, the name FanDuel naturally gets a lot of attention from sports fans. As such, you will find a wide range of sports and leagues, including the NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB. Here, you can predict the outcome of individual matches, touchdowns, passing yards, player props, and more.

To help you make an informed decision, you will be given live scoring during the game. This allows you to keep track of the action as it’s happening, so you can adjust your strategy accordingly. This is particularly great for spotting a chance to get an early profit or even minimize potential losses.

Other prediction markets add more depth to the app

While sports is nice to see on the app, I’m glad that FanDuel Predicts has added other categories, too. Not only will this attract a broader range of traders, but it also provides sports fans with something new to explore. I came across markets, including:

  • Finance: Oil, Silver, Gold, Gas, and Cryptocurrencies like BTC, ETH, and so on.
  • Economic: GDP, CPI, FFR, and Inflation.
  • Culture: Entertainment, music, award shows, and cultural moments.
  • Cryptocurrencies: Short-term and long-term price movements on popular cryptocurrencies.

You can build a combo on sports predictions

If you want to add another layer of anticipation to your trading, you may be interested to hear that FanDuel Predicts offers Combos. This allows you to combine multiple predictions into a single contract. While all the contracts need to be correct to get a payout, it will increase your potential profit significantly. However, there is a cap on how many contracts you can add. For example, you can add up to 8 football predictions into a single contract.

A real-life example of trading on FanDuel Predicts

I can talk to you all I like about how prediction markets work. However, sometimes, seeing it happen in practice is when it falls into place, and everything clicks. If you’re anything like me, this is how you learn best. So, here’s an example of how trading works, so you can hit the ground running.

Let’s say you want to trade on the outcome of the Super Bowl. You might see the following market: Will the Seattle Seahawks win the Super Bowl?. In this case, you will be given a Yes and No contract option – both offering a price and implied probability. If you think that the Seahawks will win, you would buy the Yes contract.

If you bought the Yes contract at $0.70, this indicates that the market believes there is a 70% chance of the Seahawks winning the Super Bowl. If this outcome comes true, you would then receive a settlement of $1. Excluding any fees you may pay, you would then get a return of $0.30 from this trade.

On the other hand, if the Seahawks didn’t win, your contract would resolve at $0 and instantly become worthless.

You can claim a $100 bonus after spending $5+ on trades

As a new user, you can pick up a one-off welcome bonus. You won’t need to enter a FanDuel Predicts promo code, but you do need to complete a few steps to unleash the offer. What you can get is a $100 trading bonus, which you can then use across the full range of prediction markets. Your bonus is split into five increments, where you can claim a $20 bonus every 24 hours.

What you need to do is log in to your account daily to trade at least $1. Once you have spent $1+ on an event contract, you will receive $20 of your bonus. Every time you return to do the same thing again, you will get another $20 bonus. You get to do this for five days in total, giving you a shot to claim a total of $100 in trading bonuses.

Welcome Bonus:No bonus available right now
Eligibility:$20 per day, provided you fulfill the Trading Requirement
Bonus Expiry:You have five days to claim the full bonus
Bonus Arrival:Bonus is credited within 72 hours
Withdrawal Requirements:Bonus is non-withdrawable until you trade it

FanDuel Predicts is exclusively available on the app

FanDuel Predicts doesn’t have a website as such. While there is a browser-based site, this is merely an informational hub. If you want to find out more about how FanDuel Predicts works, then the website is great for that. You’ll find out details on the welcome bonus, any US state restrictions to note, withdrawal requirements, and so on. The site almost works like an FAQ section, let’s put it that way. In all honesty, I found it useful and had a lot of information there myself.

If you want to create an account and start trading, then you’re going to need to install the app. I was pleased to find out that the app is available on both iOS and Android devices, so no one is left behind. At first glance, it’s clear to see that the app has been designed specifically for trading, so its organization is second to none. The simplistic design makes it super easy to move around, making it accessible for beginners. If you’re a veteran, you can most likely find your way around any prediction market platform with ease, but it’s nice to see that this app has been built with everyone in mind.

The home screen gives you quick access to all the prediction markets, with one-click buttons for the most popular categories. You can then narrow your search by contract type, length, recently added, and so on. After spending some time darting between different pages, I was impressed by how fast the loading speeds were. I didn’t run into any lagging, despite my enthusiastic tapping – just like what I found with the PrizePicks prediction markets.

FanDuel Predicts offers limited payment methods

You won’t find the same list of payment methods here as you will on FanDuel’s other products. At the time of writing, I found only two methods, but this is due to CFTC (Commodity Futures Trading Commission) regulations. What this means is that you won’t be able to use credit cards. While it might be a little frustrating, this is the case at any CFTC-regulated prediction market site, just like Underdog prediction markets.

I had heard whispers that you could use other methods like PayPal and Venmo, but I didn’t find this to be true. I scoured the app and the website, but there’s no mention of any of these methods being available. That’s not to say that more methods won’t be added in the future. But, as of right now, they aren’t available.

For now, you can use debit cards like Visa and Mastercard. Alternatively, you can also use ACH Bank Transfers. All of these are available for deposits and withdrawals; just keep in mind that you can only request payouts using the same method you used for deposits. Both deposits and withdrawals require a minimum of $10, which is reasonably low. You don’t need to be a big trader to access FanDuel Predicts, so it’s accessible for most users.

Customer support is available in multiple forms

Customer support is vital, so I spent a good chunk of time testing out all the options. Overall, I found options like a live chat, FAQ page, web form, email, and social media. I think you’ll agree that this covers more than just the basics – it’s one heck of a support hub. With a brand like FanDuel, I didn’t expect anything less, if I’m honest.

One of my first areas to test was the live chat, which is accessible by tapping the chat bubble in the bottom corner of the screen. Clicking this button loads a chat window, where I was instantly connected with a live agent. I was pleased to see that this was available 24/7, because, let’s face it, issues and problems don’t always happen within standard working hours.

Next up, I checked out the FAQs page. Remember, the browser site is like an FAQ section in itself, so I recommend heading here, too. Either way, the FAQs provide a great deal of information on most common topics. You’ll find subjects like promotions, how contract prices work, withdrawals, and more. Honestly, everything you could think of is detailed in the FAQs, making it a great place to stop first.

Prefer to take your support off the website? If you don’t want to hang around online, you can send the team an email or fill out the web form. Both of these will get back to you via email, which usually takes around 24 hours or so. Often, replies will come in much quicker, but this is a good average to have in mind.

FanDuel Predicts is a major brand with an awesome reputation

Even if you haven’t ever set foot on the FanDuel app before, the chances are you’ve heard of the brand. Its recognizable branding and huge reputation have made it known across the world, making it one of the first brands new users think to explore.

FanDuel Predicts is operating through a partnership with the CME Group. All event contracts are listed by the CME Group, which is also regulated by the CFTC. The CFTC provides all guidelines for FanDuel Predicts to follow, which it executes well. For starters, the app has strong geolocation software, so you simply can’t install it from outside of the permitted areas. You can also find a full breakdown of where certain prediction markets are available, so you know exactly where you stand.

You are also required to complete an in-depth verification check after registration. To do this, you will be asked to provide your full name, date of birth, address, and the last 4 digits of your SSN. While this is usually enough, you may be asked to submit a copy of your government-issued ID. If this is needed, someone from the FanDuel Predicts team will reach out to you and will explain the process.

Does FanDuel Predicts have a VIP program?

Ongoing promotions can add a lot of value to returning traders, so I made sure to take a close look at the promotions page. Unfortunately, FanDuel Predicts hasn’t rolled out a VIP or loyalty program, or any type of tier-based reward system. To be honest, prediction market sites don’t tend to offer this type of reward system, so this wasn’t anything new to me.

Since I last visited the app, there have been a few improvements. When I visited before, there were hardly any bonuses available for prediction markets. These days, while there isn’t a VIP program, you can claim several ongoing offers. You can look forward to promotions, such as:

  • Trade Match Bonus: This promotion will match the amount you pay for your event contract, up to a specific amount. It will be credited to your account in the form of a trading bonus, allowing you to trade even more.
  • Trade and Get: These types of rewards are variable, so the size of the bonus will vary depending on the individual offer. However, all you need to do is trade the required amount, and you will receive the attached bonus.
  • Trade Reset: FanDuel Predicts is offering a risk-free style bonus, where if your prediction is incorrect, you can get a bonus back to try again.

Now, the above bonuses aren’t fully exhaustive, but they give you an idea of what’s to come. There are plenty of other bonuses where that came from, so it’s worth exploring the app even further to see what else is rolling out.

Conclusion: FanDuel Predicts has quickly evolved into one of the leading apps

FanDuel Predicts only launched in 2025, but it’s already one of the major apps on the scene. Considering the reputation of FanDuel, I’m not surprised. Prediction markets are still relatively new, so it’s been fun exploring the app to see how FanDuel Predicts compares. In total honesty, this app is competitive. I can see it becoming one of the first choices for many traders.

What took me by surprise is the fact that sports isn’t the only market available. I resigned myself to the idea that sports was going to be the leading market, and that was that. However, while sports prediction markets are certainly the focal point, that’s not the only category. There are plenty of options to suit most types of traders, which is great to see. That said, it would be nice to see it grow a little more, but that will come in time.

To help you get started, there’s a great welcome bonus waiting. This bonus will give you up to $100 in trading credits, which is split across your first 5 days. You only need to trade a minimum of $1 daily, meaning that if you spend $5+, you will get a $100 bonus back. As far as promotions go, this one is competitive. No, it’s not the biggest bonus around, but the minimum requirements are exceptionally low.

If you want to see how the FanDuel Predicts app works first-hand, all you need to do next is tap the promotional banners on this page.

FanDuel Predicts prediction markets review FAQs

💻 Can I trade on the FanDuel Predicts website?

No. The website is more of an informational site, so there’s no trading available there. If you want to access your account, make deposits, or buy an event contract, this will all need to be done through the app. While this might change in the future, for now, it’s an app-based platform.

📲 How can I download the FanDuel Predicts app?

You can install the app by heading to your respective app store. The app is available on iOS and Android, so simply open the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can also click the on-page banners to load the browser website. The browser site offers quick links, which will load the app on your phone or tablet, ready for you to install.

⏱️ How fast does FanDuel Predicts credit your settlements?

If you get a correct prediction, FanDuel Predicts will process your settlements as soon as the outcome has been resolved. Your $1 settlement should arrive within a few minutes after the outcome has been confirmed, but it may be slightly delayed. Typically, it’ll take no longer than a few hours, unless there’s an issue with confirming the official result.
