Moomoo is a trusted broker that lets you invest in commission-free stocks and ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds). But for this Moomoo review, I’ll focus on their prediction market site where you trade event contracts tied to future event outcomes.
The prediction markets available at Moomoo include sports, crypto, elections, economy, politics, companies, entertainment, and tech. It’s regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), which makes it available in all US states. Interestingly, if you’re just starting out, you can claim trading coupons, bonus stocks, and 8.1% APY (Annual Percentage Yield) after making a qualifying deposit.
To begin this review, here are some key facts about this operator.

Moomoo is a trusted broker in the US that lets you buy stocks, ETFs, options, and cryptocurrency commission-free. It also operates globally and is part of Futu Holdings (the parent company), a Hong Kong company listed on Nasdaq.
In June 2026, Moomoo launched its prediction market product where you can buy and sell event contracts tied to the outcome of real-world events.
Here, you predict outcomes relating to real-world events in a simple Yes or No format. Each market is framed as a question. Here’s an example:
As you can see, the contract prices range from 1% ($0.01) to 99% ($0.99). If you predict correctly, your contract settles at 100%. If you’re wrong, then your contract settles at 0%.
I decided to purchase $100 worth of Yes contracts on Claude being the best AI at the end of 2026 at 51% ($0.51). I got ~196 Yes shares. If my prediction is correct, then each Yes contract will settle at 100% ($1), and I’ll get ~$196, which is a $96 return.
And as I shared earlier, if Claude doesn’t become the best AI of 2026, all the Yes contracts I purchased will settle at $0, and I’ll get nothing. One thing about Moomoo is that you have the option to exit a position before an event resolves. As such, you can lock in a potential profit if your prediction is going your way or cut some losses if your forecast is not going as expected.
I found a massive list of prediction markets during my assessment, similar to what I found during my recent Coinbase review. They are arranged in categories, and the platform also has a dedicated Trending tab where you’ll find the most popular real-world events other participants are trading right now.
Here’s a list of the categories I found:
Moomoo lets you trade on different sports events such as football, baseball, basketball, hockey, cricket, Formula One, and e-sports outcomes. Under each category, you can predict match winners, tournament winners, and e-sports winners.
From what I gathered, the Moomoo sports prediction markets are available in eligible US states. But the operator is tight-lipped regarding ineligible regions. So, I’ll advise that before you begin trading anything, check if this category is available to you.
That said, here are a few examples I found:
Moomoo lets you predict crypto price outcomes, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Ripple, Dogecoin, and Binance Coin. It’s as deep as you’d expect on a dedicated crypto prediction platform. So you can trade up/down price movements in 15 minutes, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and annually.
Here are some examples:
Under this section, you can trade event contracts on oil and energy, Fed fund rates, global central banks’ interest rates, recession rates, GDP (Gross Domestic Product), housing, and KPIs (Key Performance Index). These contracts are available in all 50 states. If you follow macroeconomics, this section carries real depth. Here are some examples:
Moomoo also covers political outcomes across the US president, Iran, International, Congress, local, and elections. I found out that this category often attracts significant trading activity around key political moments. If you follow political developments closely, this category may be for you.
Some events you’ll see include:
This category covers Oscars, awards, live music, music charts, video game awards, and Art. From what I found, contract prices here tend to move based on social sentiment and public momentum. Here are a few examples:
Here, you can predict event contracts on future technology and scientific events. Here are some examples I found:
That’s pretty much the selection I found on this prediction market platform. As you’ll also notice, most event contracts are single-option. Others are multiple-choice, with each option having its own Yes/No event contracts. I recommend starting with single-option prediction markets to get comfortable with how prediction trading works on the platform.
Moomoo doesn’t stop at prediction markets. It also offers a few cool features, including paper trading, educational resources, and low trading fees.
This is one of the coolest features I found at Moomoo. It simulates what it’s like to buy or sell event contracts without committing any funds. The platform gives you virtual credits so you can explore different prediction markets freely.
Interestingly, you can join Paper Trading competitions. That way, you can compete with other traders without any pressure.
You’ll also find tons of educational resources to help you brush up on your knowledge of prediction markets. You’ll find over 2,000 articles and self-help guides available, which I think is too much to burn through in a few days. But it’s good to know there’s enough material to keep you going long-term.
If you land on Moomoo’s homepage for the first time, this is the headline feature. It charges $0 commissions on stocks, ETFs, and options. And that crosses over to the event contracts section. There’s a fixed fee of $0.50 per contract for index options trading, which is quite low in my opinion.
Going further, setting up an account costs nothing. There’s no annual or inactivity fee, so you can return to the platform anytime without being charged.
Moomoo has a cool promotions page, starting with a generous welcome bonus for new traders. It’s a combination of prediction trading bonuses and stock trading offers. When you sign up, you’ll receive up to $200 in trading coupons, up to $1,000 in NVDA stock, and an 8.1% APY boost. Let me explain how each works.
After you register and verify your account, deposit at least $100 to get 10x $10 trading coupons. You can use each coupon ($10) to trade any available prediction market. This bonus is valid for 180 days and is not directly withdrawable for cash.
But when you use the coupon to complete a trade, you keep any potential returns. What about the remaining $100 trading coupon? This activates when you invite a friend to sign up on Moomoo with your referral link. When they sign up and deposit at least $100, you’ll get 10 extra $10 trading coupons.
You’ll also receive NVDA stock worth up to $1,000. But the amount you’ll receive depends on the size of your initial deposit. Based on my findings, here’s a breakdown of what you’ll get per deposit amount.
| Deposit | NVDA stock bonus | Holding requirement |
|---|---|---|
| $500+ | $30 | $500 for 60 days |
| $2,000+ | $100 | $2,000 for 60 days |
| $10,000+ | $200 | $10,000 for 60 days |
| $50,000+ | $400 | $10,000 for the first 60 days to unlock $200 in NVDA stock $50,000 for 120 days to unlock the remaining $200 in NVDA stock |
| $100,000+ | $1,000 | $10,000 for the first 60 days to unlock $200 in NVDA stock $50,000 for 120 days to unlock $400 in NVDA stock $100,000 for 180 days to unlock $400 in NVDA stock |
This is split into two offers: base rate and booster rate. You’ll automatically get a 3.35% APY base rate on any uninvested cash in your account. Then there’s a 4.75% booster rate, which you must activate manually, and it runs for 60 days.
After claiming this welcome bonus, you can also take advantage of other offers. The main one I found is the referral bonus, which I mentioned is key to unlocking the remaining $100 in trading coupons. Also, if your referral deposits at least $2,000, you’ll receive $100 in NVDA stock.
Similar to my experience at DraftKings Predict, I couldn’t find a VIP club or loyalty bonus for prediction trading at Moomoo. No points, no tiers, and no status to chase. The core experience here is all about trading event contracts.
That said, you can always check the Moomoo promotions page to see if there are other deals available to claim besides the ones I discussed.
Moomoo offers a mobile app for Android and iOS devices, as well as a PC app. I like to call it an all-in-one hub where you can trade and invest in different stocks, ETFs, crypto, and options. You can also trade event contracts here.
Just like the Interactive Brokers Prediction Markets app, Moomoo’s mobile app is highly rated on both Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS), with thousands of positive reviews from traders just like you. In my opinion, the app interface is intuitive and completely mirrors the website. You’ll find the charts, order types, and event contracts neatly fitted on a small screen.
You can tap any prediction market category, explore subcategories, and available prediction markets you can trade. And placing a trade takes less than 4 taps: select a preferred event contract, buy at market or place a limit order, and confirm your trade.
From my tests so far, I’ll say the mobile experience is on par with what you’ll get via PC. So, if you’re wondering which to go for, let me make it easy based on my experience. I’ll pick the app when I’m out and about and to quickly manage my trades. And I’ll choose the desktop when I want a larger screen and a calmer look at charts involving longer-term predictions.
A quick safety note, though: download the app only from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Never send money to a “private manager” or a crypto wallet someone gives you. Real deposits go through the app to the broker.
This is another section I think could use improvement. While I understand that the operator is focused on offering secure payment methods, I found them rather limiting. For now, deposits can be processed via ACH bank transfer, and you must have a US bank account.
That’s not to say this payment method is bad or unusable, but it would be nice to see a few options in the future, including bank cards and e-wallets. Regarding ACH bank transfers, they can take 1 to 4 business days. That’s especially long if you want to jump on a BTC 15-minute price prediction market on a Monday morning before you get your coffee.
That said, before making your first deposit, you must verify your identity to activate your account. Deposits are fee-free, but if you reverse a payment, you’ll first be charged a $5 reversal fee, and subsequent reversals will incur a $10 fee.
As for withdrawals, you can choose between ACH and Wire transfer, which can take up to 5 business days to process. Moomoo doesn’t charge a fee for ACH withdrawals, but it charges a $20 broker fee for ongoing wire transfers. So in this situation, I’ll recommend that you let your settlements accumulate over time before pushing a wire payout. Alternatively, I’ll recommend sticking to ACH transfers, which removes the fee completely
I’d say customer support is one of Moomoo’s many strengths. That’s to be expected from a US broker, which needs a solid support infrastructure to serve both local and global traders.
From my assessments, there’s a live chat that is available 24/7, so you can chat with support at 2 AM and expect a response in less than a minute. I also spotted email support and a dedicated telephone line, which can be extra handy if you want more detailed help.
And don’t forget the tons of resources you can read through little by little to learn how the platform works. The in-depth FAQ page also covers everything you should know.
Moomoo is available for US prediction traders. The platform is registered as a broker-dealer with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission). It maintains an active membership with the SIPC (Securities Investor Protection Corporation). This membership ensures your securities account is protected up to $500,000. It also operates under CFTC oversight.
In terms of security, the platform protects your data with industry-standard protocols. You can also keep your account safe by enabling MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication). This requires a secure OTP (One-Time Password) alongside your standard login credentials to block unauthorized logins.
The platform also uses end-to-end encryption to scramble your data in transit, thereby protecting your personal and banking information from potential data leaks or cyberattacks.
A comprehensive review, you’ll agree. Moomoo is a solid US broker that added event contracts to its already expansive portfolio. As you go around trading different prediction markets, you benefit from its CFTC backing, zero commissions, generous bonuses, and educational resources to ensure you keep having fun.
Despite its perks, one downside is that it accepts bank deposits. You also can’t claim all the bonuses right away, as you’ll need to hold certain real-money deposits. If you like what you’ve read, check out Moomoo yourself by clicking the banners on this page.
