This OG prediction markets review gives you my take on the Crypto.com-backed prediction platform. OG is a legit, CFTC-regulated exchange where you buy yes or no contracts on sports, politics, economics, and culture, with fees shown upfront.
Contracts cost $0.01 to $0.99 and pay $1 per contract if you’re right, but you lose what you paid if you’re wrong. Connecticut, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Utah, and Washington residents can’t trade on OG, and sports contracts are off-limits in 7 states. Below, I cover how OG works, its fees, payments, and security so you can make up your opinion.

OG is a marketplace where users trade contracts that are tied to the future result of a real-world event, such as a tournament. The value or price of an event contract moves up and down, depending on the confidence of marketplace participants in the outcome of the event.
OG has event contracts for different kinds of events related to politics, sports, entertainment and the economy. The platform works by defining specific events with a yes or no outcome. It also creates a space for buyers and sellers to transact, based on demand and supply. OG is a regulated prediction markets platform, and like all event contracts, trading on OG involves risk, and you can lose the amount you pay for a contract.
Contract prices range from $0.01 to $0.99. You can read this contract price as the implied market probability, so $0.80 means the market believes there is a 80% probability of that happening. When the event ends and the outcome is known, the event contract can’t be traded again. The correct contracts will settle at $1, while wrong contracts will settle at $0.
If you are new to prediction markets, I will show you an example to explain how trading on OG works. Let’s assume that you purchase 100 “yes” contracts at $0.40.
Total price of contracts = 100 x $0.40 = $40
Taker fee = 0.07 x number of contracts x P x (1 – P); P = contract price
Taker fee = 0.07 x 100 x 0.40 x (1 – 0.40) = $1.68
Outlay = Total price + taker fee = 40 + 1.68 = $41.68
If you are right about the event’s outcome, you get a net profit of $100 – $41.68 = $58.32. If you are wrong about the event’s outcome, you will lose $41.68.
If the price rises to $0.65, the new calculation will become:
Total price of contracts = 100 x $0.65 = $65
Taker fee = 0.07 x number of contracts x P x (1 – P); P = contract price
Taker fee = 0.07 x 100 x 0.65 x (1 – 0.65) = $1.5925 = ~ $1.60
You will receive a net amount of $65.00 – $1.60 = $63.40.
There are three major contract types on OG:
The OG prediction markets cover a wide range of activities like sports, entertainment, cryptocurrency, economics, politics and more. Let me show you each category in greater detail:
OG’s main focus is the sports predictions category. I saw football, boxing, sailing, basketball, soccer, tennis, motorsport, baseball and hockey with up to 300 competitions across these categories. The soccer section included major leagues like the top-flight leagues in Germany, Spain, England and Italy. OG also has its dedicated football hub tab.
Some of the market types available in OG sports category include total, winner, spread and player props. Live in-game trading is available for certain events. The event contracts for sports usually settle after official results. For soccer, that will be after the 90 minutes plus stoppage time. Keep in mind that overtime counts in basketball, football and hockey markets.
There are more than 10 cryptocurrencies with prediction markets on this platform, with the likes of Bitcoin, XRP, DOGE, Solana, Ethereum, etc.
OG gives you the chance to trade one-time, 5-minute, 20-minute, 2-hour, and weekly crypto prediction markets. For example, a one-time prediction market could be based on a specific “Yes” or “No” event such as “Will Bitcoin close over $100,000 on December 31, 2026?”
OG allows you to trade major stocks, commodities and financial instruments. You get to trade major FOREX pairs like GBP/USD and EUR/USD. I also traded my fair share of stock market indices like NASDAQ 100, Russell 2000 and S&P 500. Commodities such as crude oil, gold and silver are also available. Under this category, the taker fee is a flat $0.02 per contract.
OG economics prediction market is not as extensive as its sports category. If you follow US economic activity related to inflation, US recession statistics, and Federal Reserve decisions, you can try out the OG economics market.
The politics market is where you mainly trade the outcomes of the US state governorship election, US presidential election and the selection of US house of representative members.
The prediction markets related to international politics are few. One trade contract that I found in the sphere of international politics is the question “Which G7 leader will leave office next?”.
There are prediction markets for music and video games. Examples that I found include:
OG’s climate section contains a market that you will see on most top market prediction sites. That is “Will 2026 rank among the hottest years on record?”
In the table below, I will show you the maker and taker fees for event contracts based on category. The OG taker fee applies when you place an order that matches an existing order immediately, meaning that you are taking liquidity from the market.
As for the maker fee, it applies when you make an order or trade that is waiting for another trader, meaning you are adding liquidity to the market.
| Market | Taker fee (fills instantly) | Maker fee (resting limit order) | Settlement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sports, politics, economics, culture, climate (U.S.) | 0.07 × C × P × (1 − P) | 0.0175 × C × P × (1 − P) | No fee |
| Crypto, FX, commodities, equity indices (U.S.) | $0.02 per contract (open or close) | $0.02 per contract | No fee |
The taker fee in dollars peaks at a $0.50 contract price, while the fee as a percentage of your contract cost falls as the price rises. I have done some examples to give you an idea of the taker fees based on different contract prices. I also showed the results on the taker fee for 100 contracts.
| Contract price | Taker fee per contract | Fee as % of your contract cost | Fee on 100 contracts |
|---|---|---|---|
| $0.10 | $0.0063 | 6.3% | $0.63 |
| $0.25 | $0.0131 | 5.25% | $1.32 (rounded up) |
| $0.50 | $0.0175 | 3.5% | $1.75 |
| $0.75 | $0.0131 | 1.75% | $1.32 (rounded up) |
| $0.90 | $0.0063 | 0.7% | $0.63 |
The flat fee for commodities, equity indices, cryptocurrency and Forex pairs are a disadvantage for low-priced contracts. The $0.02 fee is 20% of a $0.10 contract, but just about 2.2% of a $0.90 contract.
Let’s have a look at the OG welcome bonus and other promotions:
OG offers up to $50 reward to new players. I like that this promo applies to all contract types across politics, sports, culture and other categories. To be considered eligible, register an OG account and verify your identity.
You will then need to complete $25 in qualifying trades within 7 days of verifying your account. The contract price must be below $0.80 with no sign of manipulative trading involved. Provided that you meet the requirements, you stand a chance to get a $25 cash coupon and a 100% profit boost of up to $25. Always check the platform’s terms and conditions page for updated bonus information based on your region.
The OG referral program uses a milestone-based system that is tied to your referral’s activity within a 30-day window. Here is a breakdown of the structure:
| Referee’s trading volume (30 days) | Referrer | Referee | Combined total |
|---|---|---|---|
| $100 | $10 | $10 | $20 |
| $500 | +$20 | +$20 | $60 |
| $1,000 | +$30 | +$30 | $120 |
| $2,500 | +$90 | +$90 | $300 |
When your referred user reaches new milestones based on their trading activity, your account gets a share. Keep in mind that referral rewards are subject to jurisdictional eligibility.
This is a free weekly prediction challenge where you get to pick an answer to a “Yes” or “No” question. If you get the answer right, you get a $50 boost.
You need to submit your answer before 8:10 pm Eastern Time on Sundays, and wait for the new question to go live on the Monday of the following week. For a full breakdown of current packages, check my OG promo codes guide.
I checked OG’s official website, and I will say that it is well-designed and user-friendly. There is a sign up/log in button on the top right for both new and registered users.
The top of the homepage contains navigation tabs that lead you to OG prediction markets related to economics, politics, commodities, climate, culture, financials and other categories. The home page contains a preview of the event contracts from the different categories and the probabilities of the potential outcomes.
I also noticed the presence of an AI assistant called Alpha. Alpha can explain price movements and building combos. It can also give you the latest information on lineups, team form and injuries in the sports category. However, it can make mistakes and should not be a substitute for your personal research.
There is a menu beside the sign up/log in button that contains links to access OG’s APIs, help center, customer support mobile apps and VIP program. You can change the website’s theme from light to dark, depending on your preference.
OG has apps for both Android and iOS. The OG’s mobile app offers the same functionalities as the desktop website. You can check for the platform’s Android and iOS apps on Play Store and App Store respectively.

While OG does not charge fees for ACH transfers, fees apply to card and digital wallet deposits.
OG has two major sources of customer support via its help center and live chat service. I checked the help center and saw articles related to things like onboarding, funding, trading, account and security and rewards. Under each article, you will see answers to some frequently asked questions.
For the live chat, an AI chatbot will answer your questions. If need be, it will hand over your questions to a human within a few minutes.
OG gives access to event contracts via the Crypto.com Derivatives North America (CDNA). The CFTC-registered FCM Foris DAX FCM LLC is responsible for handling user accounts.
On the 8th of September 2026, Robinhood acquired a minority equity stake in OG. It began linking some professional and college football contracts to OG, as a part of this partnership. I have covered more details on this in my Robinhood review.

Sure, some of those states can’t access sports predictions at OG, but still, the variety here is quite impressive. There’s a lot to see and do, and I think this is easily one of the best spots for any prediction traders looking for a platform to call home.
