If you’re familiar with other card-ripping sites, such OpenThatPack, this one should feel fairly familiar to you. The site is primarily focused on offering Pokémon packs to collectors, but you can also find a very limited selection of One Piece and Disney Lorcana cards.

You start by buying the site’s virtual currency (Gems). You’ll view a set of cards to find packs that interest you, and then review the chances of you pulling a specific card. You then buy the pack with your Gems, digitally rip open the pack on the spot, and the card gets added to your collection. You can sell the card back to the site, trade it with another member, or even have the physical card shipped to you.

One feature that makes this site unique is the “Ripz till you hit” feature. What Can You Do With Your Cards?

I like the variety of things you can do with your cards. It’s a nice change of pace as compared to other sites that have fewer options, which you may have read about in a recent SlabDaddy review. The only thing I would like to see is the ability to sell a card back to the site for cash rather than for Gems – but I won’t quibble on that point.

Can you exchange Gems for cash?

No. It’s important to note that you cannot redeem Gems for cash or get a refund, meaning you cannot withdraw any funds back to your card or bank account. The only redemption available is when you request to have one of your pulls shipped to you. To move from Bronze to Iron (which is the second level), you’ll need 100,000 XP. You’ll get 1 XP for every 20 Gems you spend, plus you can collect XP by opening your first pack of the day, engaging in battles, claiming your VIP daily chest, through a grading reveal, though successful “evolving” (where you try for a shot at getting a better card), and by completing a set.

As you move through the tiers, your rewards get bigger and better. They include your daily chest, a bigger buyback percentage, weekly bonus, monthly bonus, daily reload, and level-up bonuses.

So, what’s it like to use the site? Let me break it down below.

User interface and experience

This site offers a modern, polished design and layout with a dark background with blue and white highlights. While there are quite a few links and information on the site, it’s rather easy to navigate. It only takes a couple minutes on the site to locate and understand how everything works. It’s also fun to open packs, as the audio and animations are on point.

One note: Unfortunately, there is no app available for this site. However, that wasn’t an issue for me, as the site loaded fast and everything went smoothly, from buying Gems to ripping cards, to chatting with other members.

Customer support

The site offers a small collection of FAQs to help you out with the basics, such as what sorts of sets are available, how Gems work and so on. If you have a question not covered there, you can get in touch with Ripz support using their contact form or their email. I contacted them via the form, and received a reply back within the hour.

Nonetheless, I researched the company and combed through the terms and conditions and other policies on the site, and I didn’t find anything out of the ordinary. Indeed, its comprehensive policies show me that this site appears to be in compliance with the law.

One of the big features on the site that adds to its legitimacy is that it uses a provably fair model for card ripping, meaning (as the name suggests) that you can literally prove for yourself that the site is fair. What’s more, any card you pull can be shipped to you, traded, and/or graded, so you know the site is operating with real cards.

The site is also secure, which you can verify for yourself by checking out the valid security certificate, and noting that all transmitted information is secure. The site also partners with other reputable providers, such as its payment providers (Stripe, CashApp, Affirm, and Klarna).
