A few days ago, I was looking up sites to trade my cards when I stumbled upon Tilt Rips. They let you digitally open mystery packs that contain real physical Pokémon trading cards. Needless to say, I was immediately intrigued.

After ripping your pack, you can do one of four things with the card. You can either sell it to Tilt Rips, list it on its marketplace, vault it, or, my favorite, have it shipped to you. This guide will discuss Tilt Rips in detail. By the end, you’ll see why many, including myself, consider it a great card-rip site.

About Tilt Rips

Immediately after landing on the official Tilt Rips site, I knew it was exactly what I had been looking for all along. Sam Kiki is the founder of Tilt Rips. Tilt Rips LLC, a limited liability company based in Nevada, operates the card trading site.

As I’ve mentioned in my intro, this site lets you open mystery packs for collectibles. Over the course of my review, I confirmed that all packs contain real physical Pokémon trading cards, authenticated by the site’s security partners. Once you rip your pack, Tilt Rips automatically vaults them for you. However, this is only temporary until you’ve decided what you want to do with them. Your options include keeping them stored, selling them, or having them shipped to you.

What to do with your cards

What Can You Rip on Tilt Rips?

Just like OpenThatPack, Tilt Rips is primarily focused on Pokémon TCG. I’ll now talk about what you can rip at Tilt Rips:

Pokémon Card types

Unlike other card break sites, Tilt Rips is completely focused on Pokémon trading cards. These trading cards come in two forms: Raw and Graded. Raw cards are ungraded and unauthenticated by a professional grading company. Collectors often buy raw cards because they’re generally cheaper than their graded counterparts, plus they can be played in the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). As an extra, you can submit them for grading if they’re in excellent condition. Raw cards could be in mint, near mint, lightly played, or heavily played conditions.

That said, there’s also a case for buying graded cards. Unlike raw cards, these have been professionally evaluated by a reputable third-party grading company such as the PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator).

Manufacturer

Given that Tilt Rips specializes in only Pokémon, its collectibles come from The Pokémon Company International (and its regional partners).

Pack types and pricing

Over the course of my Tilt Rips reviews, I counted eight (8) different Pokémon packs, with prizes ranging from $10 (Mini pack) all the way up to $3,000 (Grand Master). The Starter, Premium, and Expert packs are priced at $25, $50, and $100, respectively. Tilt Treasure and Ultimate packs both cost $500, while the Master pack goes for $1,000.

Mechanics

To buy a Pokémon TCG, you first need to head to the packs section of the official Tilt Rips website. Then on that page, select your preferred pack based on your budget. You can then proceed via three different rip modes: quick, full, and instant. I’ll start from the first one. In quick mode, you tap to flip your card without loading. The full mode, for its part, involves watching the cards reveal, one by one. Finally, the instant mode allows you to skip to your cards. During my Tilt Rips review, I noticed every card had its own live market rate and full price history. That helped a great deal with transparency.

Anyway, on another note, when you click on the Starter and Premium packs, you can use the slider to adjust volatility to either conservative, speculative, or risky. The higher the volatility, the wider your range of outcomes. Every other pack above this one adds an extra level of volatility: Full Tilt. I figured I couldn’t adjust volatility on the Mini pack.

In any case, regardless of the pack you rip, your real physical Pokémon Cards will automatically be added to Tilt Rips vault, where they’re monitored and authenticated by the site’s security partners. The cards will sit in the vault until you decide what next.

That said, check out the table below for a summary of the TCG products to expect on Tilt Rips:

What Can You Do With Your Cards?

I’ll now share a little more detail about what you can do with your Pokémon Cards after ripping Tilt Rips packs:

🔒 Vault them

This is the default state after ripping your Tilt Rips packs. If you take no further action after the reveal, Tilt Rips securely holds your real physical Pokémon Card in its vault until you make a decision.

💰 Sell back to Tilt Rips

If, upon reveal, you don’t like the card you see, you can easily sell it back to Tilt Rips at 90% of its live market rate. The site will then apply an instant credit to your Tilt Rips wallet. You can then withdraw your funds in USD or via one of the other accepted cryptocurrencies.

🛒 List on marketplace

Now, assuming you’re not interested in selling to Tilt Rips at a cost price, you can instead put it on the site’s marketplace. Listing on the marketplace allows you to sell directly to other collectors at the live market rate.

📦 Redeem and ship physical cards

The best part of my review was opening a Premium Tilt Rips pack and getting an extremely rare vintage Pokémon Card. I didn’t waste any time redeeming it and requesting that it be shipped to me so I can display it alongside the others in my collection. When I requested my physical Pokémon Card be delivered to me, the site showed the shipping cost before I completed the request. It took a few weeks for the package to arrive. Nonetheless, I was super excited to have it in my hands finally. The card came sealed inside a hard, tamper-evident slab and was graded PSA 10. It was an incredible day!

Payment Methods

I found it fairly easy to purchase a Tilt Rips pack during my review. The site accepts several payment options, including:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Apple Pay
  • G Pay
  • Cash App
  • Venmo
  • Wire
  • Various cryptocurrencies

As is typical of these payment methods, crypto withdrawals consistently settled faster than fiat banking ones. In some cases, everything was wrapped up almost instantly. Nonetheless, the processing time for any particular transaction depends on your preferred payment method, connectivity, and account verification.

You have to fund your account to purchase a pack, just as with Fanatics Instant rips. So, click on your preferred option and enter the amount you want to add to your account. Fill in your accurate details and complete the process.

From what I’ve seen so far during my tests, this usually settles almost instantly. However, depending on certain conditions, it may take longer than that. That’s something you want to keep in mind to avoid panicking when your deposits don’t appear immediately. Anyway, when it does appear, all you have to do is click the “Buy” button for your preferred Tilt Rips pack, and that’s it.

If you then decide to sell your Pokémon Card to Tilt Rips post-reveal, 90% of its live market rate will be instantly credited to your wallet. You can withdraw these funds as USD or via the crypto options. Fiat withdrawals through traditional banks can take up to 5 business days to complete, whereas cryptocurrency withdrawals are completed within 24 hours.

Bonuses and Promotions

I didn’t find a conventional welcome bonus when I signed up at Tilt Rips. However, the site had a handful of promotions that came in quite handy during my test. I’ll quickly touch on the offers I got:

Free Pack

I received a free pack through the referral program after signing up using a Tilt Rips promo code and meeting certain requirements. Terms and conditions for this bonus may differ by location, so confirm what applies in your location on the official Tilt Rips site.

Weekend Warrior Races

The bonus is a leaderboard contest where collectors compete to finish high on the leaderboard. It has a $50,000 prize pool in Tilt Rips pack credits. The maximum amount an individual can obtain from the main pool is $10,000 in pack credits. At the end of the races, the site evaluates the top 5 collectors in specific categories:

  1. Those with the highest total pack spend.
  2. The ones with the most packs opened.
  3. Collectors with the most valid referrals.
  4. Warriors with the highest multiplier.

If you finish 1st in three out of four categories, you also get a grand prize of $10,000 in pack credits.

Weekday 4×4 Race

The Weekday 4×4 Race is similar in many ways to the Weekend Warrior Races, but they’re also vastly different. For starters, the former runs during the week, whereas the latter is hosted on the weekend. Also, the prize pool here is smaller, currently standing at $15,400. The maximum amount you can win from the main pool is $5,000 in pack credits. That said, if you finish 1st in three bonus categories, you get another $5,000 in pack credits as the grand prize.

Weekday War Race

As its name suggests, this one runs during the week too. However, unlike Weekday 4×4 Race, it doesn’t have a grand prize, plus its prize pool is $20,000. The maximum individual main prize stands at 8,000 in pack credits, and this goes to the collector with the highest total pack spend.

Tilt Rips Partners

The Tilt Rips Partners is the referral program of the card trading site. Tilt Rips rewards you for inviting others to join the site. It gets even better. You also receive a commission when your referrals invite other people who join the site and open a pack. I really like how the referral program here is structured, especially given that it’s essentially a lifetime offer.

VIP Concierge

Tilt Rips takes things to a whole new level with its VIP Concierge program for loyal collectors. This bonus typically comes with perks such as invitations to exclusive events, travel and accommodation offers, access to private aviation, and high-end parties. However, all of these are reserved for collectors who’ve reached $2,500,000 in lifetime pack rips. As of this writing, I’m still some way behind the threshold, but it excites me to keep aiming for it.

Overall Experience

I had a fantastic time collecting real physical Pokémon trading cards on Tilt Rips. It offers a lightweight iOS app that helped me stay involved even when I was on the go. Collectors with Android devices can access the brand via its well-optimized website. I tested both the site and app on different devices, including desktop, and I’m happy with the performance I got.

The site interface and graphics are also cool. Tiles, buttons, and links are arranged so it’s super easy to find things on the screen. Tilt Rips has an active chat community which I’ve been heavily involved in since the day I signed up. The card trading site also offers an elaborate FAQ section with answers to some of the most common questions new collectors often have. I found this quite helpful, as it helped me settle in for my trades.

Getting started on Tilt Rips is easy peasy; simply tap the yellow “Sign Up” at the top-right corner of the screen. Enter your accurate details, and you’re good.

Is Tilt Rips Safe and Legit?

I can confirm that Tilt Rips is legit and safe to open mystery packs. First, it was founded by Sam Kiki and is operated by Tilt Rips LLC, a Nevada limited liability company. You can rest assured that every pack contains a real, physical card, authenticated and vaulted with the site’s professional security partners. Also, Tilt Rips doesn’t dictate the card prices. Rather, that’s determined by the live market data. The site uses industry-standard security features to protect your data from falling into the wrong hands.

Conclusion – Open Pokémon TCG packs using Tilt Rips

For me, Tilt Rips is an easy sell, and it’s easy to see why. As I’ve mentioned earlier, after signing up on this card trading site, I found an extremely rare Pokémon Card, which is sitting right now in my home collection. I had other options: let it sit in the site’s vault, or sell it directly to the site or via the marketplace. During my review, I discovered several bonuses which improved my experience.

Tilt Rips also accepts several payment methods, including fiat and cryptocurrency options. These options came in pretty handy during trades. Some transactions were completed almost instantly thanks to certain payment methods. To put it simply, Tilt Rips does many things right, and I’m convinced it’s only going to get better from here.

If you’re ready to get into Pokémon Card trading, now is the right time to sign up on Tilt Rips. Simply click the banners on this page to visit the official site and get started.
