• Mail-in request. If you follow the site rules, you can get 10 Tokens per request. This is much higher than what other sites offer, so I was really pleased.
• Rakeback. You can get back a small percentage of Tokens for every case you open, with the percentage depending on your level in the rewards program.
• Races. The site hosts regular races, and you can collect Tokens if you climb to the top of the leaderboard.

As you can see, there are quite a few ways to collect this site’s virtual currency. Is there an Unbox.gg rewards program?

This mystery box platform offers an extensive 11-tier, 300-level rewards program. Progression through the program is based on how many Unbox Tokens you play, and it’s all clearly laid out on the site. The lower levels and tiers are reachable even for casual players. For example, you only need to play 2.40 Tokens to go from the first (default) level to the second level.

This brand’s website reminds me of other mystery box sites with its dark theme and familiar layout. The links at the top left of your screen connect you to your box options, battles with other players, rewards, the upgrader option, and more. The links on the right side connect you to your account, notifications, shopping cart, and wallet balance.

What is the box-opening experience like?

All prices are clearly listed, so you know how many site credits/tokens you need to spend to open a box. Once you select a box, you’ll also see the EV (expected value) of the box, what types of prizes are inside the box, the value of each prize, and the chance of unboxing each prize. All you have to do is tap the blue “Open” button to get started. The prizes will run across your screen until the movement stops and your prize is revealed. If you want to try this out for free, you can tap the “Demo” button inside any of the boxes.

In addition to opening boxes yourself, you can also challenge other site members or bots to unboxing battles. You can join other peoples’ “winner takes all” battles or create your own. You can get a feel for how these battles work by viewing a past battle.

Prize options

You have the following options for any prize you unbox:

1. Sell it back to the site for Unbox Tokens, which are the site credits you can use to open additional boxes.

2. Vault it (and collect interest at 4% APY). You can vault it for a set time of your choosing.

3. Get it shipped to you if it’s a physical prize. It’s unclear how much shipping charges are for these items or how long it takes.

4. Wait until you have at least $1 worth of prizes, and then pull the prize value out of your account as cryptocurrency.

5. Play a game of chance to try to upgrade your prize. Note that this option means you could lose your prize.

One nice feature is that you can sell a prize back at 100% of its value, as many of these sites offer 80% to 90%. Another nice feature is that you can initiate a cash redemption for as little as $1. Most of these types of platforms require you to have anywhere from the equivalent of $5 to $100 before you can start a redemption.

Reviewing the Unbox.gg customer service offerings

As you click through the pages of the site, you’ll notice plenty of information icons (“i”), which you can tap on to get more information about a feature. Aside from that, the “self help” documentation is basically non-existent. If you need help, you can tap the “live support” option. There’s no AI agent, so you’ll go straight to a human support. The platform asks you to leave your email address in case it takes awhile for support to reach you. I did so, but support got back to me in about three minutes. There was a little issue with the live chat, so I talked with support via email. Every message came through within a couple minutes, and they took care of my issue fast.

Overall, I do hope they get more documents uploaded online. But if you do need help, their live support is fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. This is similar to the good service I wrote about in my Pickem Ripping Packs review.

This platform is owned and operated by a company called Restack LTD, which is registered in Cyprus. My research showed this company to be transparent as well as having terms, conditions and policies that are compliant with the law. In addition, this site offers tools you can use to prove that every box opening is fair.

Another item that shows you that this company cares about their players is that there are self-exclusion tools and resources available. You can voluntarily take a break of at least one day, which you can stretch out to as many days as you want.
