Sweepstakes referral bonus FAQs

What is the sweepstakes referral bonus?

You may have seen the term ‘sweepstakes referral bonus’ thrown around a few times, without understanding fully what it means. Essentially, when we talk about a sweepstakes referral bonus, what we mean is the potential reward that you can collect from participating in a refer-a-friend bonus program. This is becoming a very popular bonus for sweepstakes casinos to offer, because not only is it a way to reward players, it’s also a way to encourage you to grow the social gaming community.

When you sign up to a sweepstakes casino that has a refer-a-friend program, you’ll be given either a unique referral link or a unique referral code. You can then share this referral code or link with your friends and fellow sweepstakes enthusiasts. When your friends sign up using your unique referral link, you’ll then have the chance to claim a sweepstakes referral bonus. Simple enough, right?

It’s very important that your friends sign up with the link or code that you give them; otherwise, you won’t be able to claim the sweepstakes referral bonus. There are usually some conditions attached to claiming this bonus, so this is always important to consider them before signing up. Typically, the friends that you refer to the platform will need to meet minimum requirements. For example, making some optional Gold Coins bundle purchases.

Remember, though, all sweepstakes casinos operate under a free-to-play model, which means that Gold Coins bundle purchases aren’t necessary to play. However, for you to be able to get a referral bonus, your referees will need to voluntarily make Gold Coin purchases.

Can anyone claim the sweepstakes referral bonus?

Well, to be able to claim the sweepstakes referral bonus, you’ll need to meet the same criteria as you would to sign up to a sweepstakes casino. To claim the bonus, you’ll need to share your unique referral link or code with your friends, and when they use it to sign up and meet the minimum requirements, you’ll receive bonus Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins. In terms of whether anyone can use the referral link, you can refer any of your friends as long as they are:

At least 18 years of age: All sweepstakes casinos have an age restriction of at least 18, although with some it’s higher at 21 years old, depending on state restrictions.
Located in a legal state: Due to local regulations, you cannot sign up to sweepstakes casinos if you’re located in certain states where they are not allowed. These are usually states like Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, and Washington. Different sweepstakes casinos will be legal in different states, though, so always check the site T&Cs if you’re unsure.

When you and your friends sign up to any sweepstakes casino, you’ll usually be required to complete a KYC verification process. This involves uploading identity documents and proof of address so that the site can verify that you meet the age requirements and are located in a legal state. This is a very standard protocol for most platforms, so it’s just important to have a heads up so you know what to expect.

How to claim a sweepstakes referral bonus

If you meet the above requirements, then good news, you’re now ready to sign up to your chosen sweepstakes casino. Signing up to any platform is pretty straightforward and only takes a couple of minutes to complete. When you sign up to a sweepstakes casino, you’ll also be able to claim your welcome bonus.

All sweepstakes casinos offer some sort of welcome bonus as an incentive for you to sign up. This will involve you collecting a set amount of Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins when you sign up, but again, this will vary by site. For example, if you sign up to LoneStar Casino, then you’ll be able to collect 100,000 Gold Coins and 2.5 Sweeps Coins. You won’t need a promo code to sign up with LoneStar Casino, but you may need one with other platforms. You can check our page banners for all up-to-date offers and for full details of our exclusive promo codes.

Signing up for an account

Here’s a handy step-by-step guide to help you sign up:

Click our page banners or links to head over to your chosen sweepstakes casinos.
Click the ‘Join’ button and complete the registration form – this involves filling in some personal details like your full name, birth date, address, and so on.
Enter your exclusive promo code, if one is needed for your chosen platform (you’ll find this in our page banners).
Read the T&Cs and then hit accept.
Verify your account by clicking the link emailed to you; you’ll need to do this to unlock the full welcome bonus.

Once you’ve verified your account and logged in, you’ll find that your welcome bonus has been loaded into your virtual currency balance. Some sweepstakes casinos will require you to complete a few extra steps, like verifying your phone number or logging in the next day, too. If this is the case, then it will be detailed in the promotional T&Cs.

Claiming your sweepstakes referral bonus

Once you’ve got your account all ready to go, to start collecting the referral bonus, simply:

Find the ‘Refer a friend’ section in the account menu.
Click on ‘copy link’ or ‘share’ to send your unique link to your friends. With the latter option, you can share the links directly via any messaging app, which makes it even easier, so we’d recommend this option.
Once your friends have the link, they can click on it and sign up as normal. For you to claim the referral bonus, your friends will need to meet the optional Gold Coin purchase requirements. It’s also important to make sure they use your link rather than go to the sweepstakes casino directly.
You can now start receiving your referral bonus. The exact amount that you’ll receive will depend on your chosen site and whether your referred friends meet the minimum requirements.

Your bonus Gold Coins and Sweeps Coins will be automatically added to your account, and you can keep track of your referrals within your account settings. You can then use these virtual currencies to play any of the popular slots; there are a few table games available too, but this area of the game lobby is quite limited.

The LoneStar Casino refer-a-friend program is much more straightforward and likely similar to what you’re used to. Then, a further 100,000 Gold Coins and 50 Sweeps Coins if they make more Gold Coins package purchases of at least $500. Bringing the maximum potential bonus to 200,000 Gold Coins and 70 Sweeps Coins.

👑 CrownCoins Casino – Grab up to 400,000 Crown Coins and 20 Sweeps Coins per friend

At CrownCoins Casino, when your friends sign up using your unique referral code, you could collect up to a whopping 400,000 Crown Coins and 20 Sweeps Coins. You can collect this for every friend that you successfully refer to the platform, with no limit on how many friends can sign up with your link. Just keep in mind that your friends will need to voluntarily purchase at least $14.90 worth of Gold Coins bundles for you to collect the full bonus.

🌟 MegaBonanza – Collect up to 130,000 Gold Coins and 65 Sweeps Coins

If your friends sign up to MegaBonanza using your unique referral link and meet the minimum requirements, then you’ll collect the sweepstakes referral bonus. Your friends will need to make an optional Gold Coins bundle purchase of at least 90,000 Gold Coins to be eligible. If they do this, you’ll collect a minimum referral bonus of 30,000 Gold Coins and 15 Sweeps Coins. The bigger the Gold Coins bundle purchase that your referred friend makes, the bigger your referral bonus will be. Just keep in mind that this is capped at 130,000 Gold Coins and 65 Sweeps Coins.

🎉 Jackpota – Claim up to 200,000 Gold Coins and 100 Sweeps Coins

When you sign up to Jackpota, you’ll receive your unique referral link, which you can share freely with your friends.
