FunPlus Phoenix are most known for their League of Legends roster, which went from an unknown squad to a dominant champion after winning the World Championship in 2019. Lately the organization has been trying to be more international, initially attempting to acquire a CS:GO roster with Heroic. They are now signing an international roster again, this time in VALORANT.

As originally reported on by esports blogger HaloofThoughts, the roster contains a combination of the heaviest hitters from SKADE and PartyParrots. Being headlined by Pontus "Zyppan" Eek and Andrey "Shao" Kiprsky, they are set up with a great support structure with Johan "Meddo" Renbjörk Lundborg’s excellent Cypher skills and Tobias "ShadoW" Flodström’s Breach capability. Rounding out the roster is their IGL, Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow.

The two headlining players have been some of Europe’s most deadly fraggers, and if there are no language barriers between them, this roster could be incredibly exciting. The main problem will be the language, two of the players speak Russian, with the other three speaking Swedish. Whilst all are able to speak English, the individual members spoke their native languages on their original rosters, and if they can make the shift, they could be absolutely terrifying.

FunPlus Phoenix's roster, which debuts in today's Allied Esports Odyssey, is:

Sweden Pontus "Zyppan" Eek Sweden Tobias "ShadoW" Flodström Sweden Johan "Meddo" Lundborg Ukraine Kirill "ANGE1" Karasiow Russian Federation Andrey "Shao" Kiprsky
