From HypHypHyp to Ninjas in Pyjamas, Damien “HyP” Souville is one of the most recognisable faces in the European VALORANT scene. The 24-year-old made the transition from Overwatch during the beta phase of Riot’s new FPS and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

His former team HypHypHyp shockingly disbanded after nearly three months of playing together but the French captain was picked up by NiP along with two of his HypHypHyp teammates Enzo “Fearoth” Mestari and Charles “CREA” Beauvois. Now, in a position to compete as one of the top three VALORANT teams in Europe, HyP tells us who he thinks are the ones to beat in the current competitive climate, why HypHypHyp disbanded, and what he makes of invitational-styled tournament structures.
