As the full release of VALORANT is coming shortly on June 2nd, more organizations are deciding to recruit a squad to compete in the future esports activities of the newest Riot Games’ FPS title. This time, K1CK Neosurf, a well-established organization from the Iberian region, announced its competitive VALORANT roster. K1CK was founded over two decades ago in 1998 and has had a variety of teams playing under their wings over all these years. The organization had squads in games like CS:GO, Apex Legends, Dota2, and Starcraft II. Despite the fact that the headquarters of the organization are in Portugal, K1CK had players from various European countries. At the beginning of this year, they took on board a full Polish squad to play in the Polish League of Legends competition. They also have players competing in FIFA, and now, VALORANT.

The players that were picked up by the organization are familiar faces to those that follow the Portuguese esports scene. Rui “nightyz” Silva, the team captain, was playing previously for K1CK in their Apex Legends division. Silva, together with his squad, placed in TOP20 of the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational in Poland back in 2019. Besides that he also earned the 6th place in the GLL Apex Legends Series for EMEA region. Nightyz, before joining K1CK as an Apex Legends player, was representing the organization in the Overwatch lineup. The following players, Ruben “cnfleet” Ferreira and Fabio “sillerhw” Fernandes, were also associated with K1CK in the past, as both of them played for the organization in CS:GO tournaments. The last two members are Carlos “xAims” Marques and Carlos “k0mpa” Nunes, who also have competitive CS:GO background, having played together in a team under the wings of GTZ Bulls.

“Our goal in the first place will be to dominate the Iberian scene, then we will try to show our best out there trying to always achieve the best possible results for us and for the big organization we represent. We can't wait for the game to be released and start work even harder to achieve the intended goals,” the captain of the team, Rui “nightyz” Silva, commented for THESPIKE.GG.

The team was competing previously under the name “DTMT” and among others played in VALORANT Clutch Series - in the 2nd edition they earned 3rd/4th spot similar to the 5th edition of CheckMate Gaming Tournament.

K1CK Neosurf roster consists of:

Portugal Carlos “xAims” Marques Portugal Carlos “k0mpa” Nunes Portugal Ruben “cnfleet” Ferreira Portugal Fabio “sillerhw” Fernandes Portugal Rui “nightyz” Silva
