According to a report by Halo of Thoughts, FunPlus Phoenix have decided on Dmitriy "dimasick" Matvienko as their replacement for Johan "Meddo" Renbjörk Lundborg.

Formerly a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player who has represented organizations like AVANGAR, Gambit Esports, and pro100, dimasick’s VALORANT career began back in April. He played quite successfully with Worst Players for several months, racking up a win in the Twitch Rivals: VALORANT Launch Showdown - EU #2. Since then, dimasick has struggled to nail down a team, but recently found his THEX squad picked up by One Breath Gaming as they qualified for the First Strike CIS Regional Final, falling out in the quarterfinals.

dimasick will likely replace the outgoing Meddo on the Sentinel role, and FPX will look to regain the form that previously made them one of the best teams in Europe. Is dimasick the one to make that step up happen? Let us know your thoughts!

    FunPlus Phoenix’s reported roster is:

Sweden Tobias “ShadoW” Flodström Ukraine Kirill “ANGE1” Karasiow Sweden Pontus “Zyppan” Eek Russian Federation Andrey “Shao” Kiprsky Kazakhstan Dmitriy “dimasick” Matvienko
