According to a report released today by neLendirekt, Saif "Sayf" Jibraeel will be headed to join his old bonk teammates at Guild Esports, where he’ll replace Filip "goffe" Gauffin.

Sayf left bonk shortly before they were signed to Guild in order to find a spot at Ninjas in Pyjamas. But with that roster not working out, reports have alleged Sayf will be benched there, and it seems he’s chosen to head back to familiar territory instead of riding things out. While with NiP, Sayf played a fragging role on Raze and Phoenix, though he’s no stranger to agents such as Viper or Breach that he often played with bonk earlier. He currently boasts stats of 234 ACS and 1.21 KD.

He’ll replace Guild’s sentinel player, goffe, who only joined the Swedish team when they were signed. goffe was part of Guild’s great success in the first week of qualifiers for First Strike: Europe, where they beat G2 Esports. Of course, the victory was later overturned for exploit usage, and Guild failed to qualify the next week to miss out on First Strike completely. Nevertheless, it was still something for the roster to be excited about. goffe currently has stats of 194 ACS and 1.07 KD.

Guild/bonk have shown in the past that they have very flexible players, so there should be someone willing to fill the sentinel role. For now, the reported move looks positive for the team, though of course, we’ll have to wait until the players are in the server to really find out.

    Guild Esports will be:

Sweden Malkolm “bonkar” Rench Sweden Yacine “Yacine” Laghmari Sweden Leo “Leo” Jannesson Sweden William “draken” Sundin Sweden Saif “Sayf” Jibraeel
