The Ignition Series tournaments are over, and we took a look back at it before the start of the upcoming First Strike competitions. During this time, we have seen tons of organizations picking up VALORANT rosters to be able to participate. One of the latest to do so is ROX TEAM, a Russian esports organization known for competing in League of Legends, Overwatch, and Street Fighter V.

The team consists of Alexandr "falltw" Chernukhin, Vladimir "valder" Pospelov, Vitalik "B1SK" Yemel'yanov, Dmitriy "Steady" Prutkov, Mikhail "Duno" Fokin, with Vladislav “Simons” Mineyev acting as the coach. Although they haven’t played together before, all of them have significant Counter-Strike: Global Offensive under their belt.

“We have been monitoring VALORANT since its inception. Our team was pleased to see that players from the European and CIS regions are showing great interest in this discipline. However, at the moment the market is not fully formed, the large tournament organizers are not yet ready to take risks, for them it seems that there are not enough fans and competent teams. I think that VALORANT is a breath of fresh air for esports shooters.” commented ROX TEAM’s manager, Egor “Loyalty” Orlov.

The captain of the roster, Steady, is used to the role from his previous organizations. He started his career with Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. As for falltw, he began with Counter-Strike 1.6, then transitioned to CS:GO, before moving on to VALORANT. He competed before with FishkaVTom, finishing 3rd-4th in the GLX EU Battle #7.

valder competed semi-professionally in CS;GO, while Duno eventually moved on from the game to pursue a career in Warface, where he was crowned with the World Championship twice during his tenure with AG. He recently parted ways with Entropiq after playing with the Polish-CIS mix for over a month. Last but not least, B1SK has over 15,000 hours clocked into CS:GO, and he competed semi-professionally as well.

“Our organization and I believe that VALORANT will receive the well-deserved fame, in the meantime we will make every effort to ensure that ROX becomes one of the strongest VALORANT teams in the world. In general, we want to become TOP 10 according to THESPIKE.GG in the European region in half a year,” continued Egor “Loyalty” Orlov.

They have to prove their worth against the existing teams in upcoming tournaments to climb the rankings ladder. ROX TEAM is already participating in the GLX Elite Series Main Event, managing to come out on top of the Group A bracket, after a convincing 2-0 victory over Eloquence. We will have to wait and see how they fare in the Playoffs. Do you think they have what it takes to win the title?

The current ROX TEAM VALORANT roster consists of:

Russian Federation Dmitriy “Steady ” Prutkov Russian Federation Aleksandr “falltw” Chernukhin Russian Federation Mikhail “Duno” Fokin Russian Federation Vitalik “B1SK” Yemel'yanov Russian Federation Vladimir “valder ” Pospelov
