Major esports organizations are finalizing their VALORANT rosters, namely G2 Esports, 100 Thieves, FaZe Clan, along with others. However, there are ones that are yet to pick up any teams, and Team Liquid is one of them. Following several teasers from the organizations, they are finally joining the VALORANT esports scene, and they are recruiting none other than fish123 and the one-tap Belgian star, Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom.

The fish123 squad consists of Adam "ec1s" Eccles, Dom "soulcas" Sulcas, James "Kryptix" Affleck, Travis "L1NK" Mendoza, and Connor "Sliggy" Blomfield filling the coach position. Ardis "ardiis" Svarenieks competed with the team up until June 14th, 2020, which we now know was him signing with G2 Esports. Adil "ScreaM" Benrlitom came into the team to fill his spot and has stayed with them ever since.

The first tournament Team Liquid original roster played together was the COOLER Cup, which they managed to win. The team was able to rack up a few titles under their belt from that period onward, including the GriziCup #1, Mandatory Cup, Solary Cup, and the 3rd, 4th, and 5th iterations of the Take The Throne tournaments. More recently, they competed in the WePlay! VALORANT Invitational in which they finished second after a nail-biting final against G2 Esports, and the Mandatory.GG Cup, where they placed 9th-16th.

Fish123 competed with Adil “ScreaM" Benrlitom on their side during the Take The Throne #6 and Epulze Valorant Prodigies, which they finished second and sixth respectively. There is an apparent decline in performances in the last two tournaments with ScreaM as part of the team, but it is understandable that it takes time for a team to gel together.

All of the team are former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional players, with numerous LAN and tournament experiences under their belt. First up is is the most decorated player out of the bunch, Adil “ScreaM" Benrlitom. The Belgian is famously known for his one-taps in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. ScreaM spent a lot of time in 2016 with G2 Esports, where he picked up the Esports Championship Series Season 1 title. He finished second in all of ESL Pro League Season 3 Finals, StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 2, and Northern Arena 2016 Montreal. He spent most of 2019 with Team GamerLegion, and managed to pick up the LOOT.BET/CS Season 2 title and finish first in the GG League 2019 Kielce Offline Qualifier. He peaked as the 9th best player in 2016 in HLTV's World Rankings.

Dom “soulcas” Sulcas, who was known as dOMM during his Counter-Strike: Global Offensive days, has several impressive accomplishments of his own as well. The British player won the epic.LAN 25, epic.LAN 28, and epic.LAN 29 titles, in addition to the Grosvenor Esports Season 1 and Season 3 Finals, with the ESL Premiership Winter 2018 to top it all off. He made the move to VALORANT during the game’s closed beta when fish123 was formed.

James “Kryptix” Affleck has won epic.18, epic.LAN 20, epic.LAN 24, and epic.LAN 27 throughout the years. He placed second in several tournaments, including the ESL Premiership Summer 2016, UK Masters Insomnia63, and most recently his final competition as a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive professional, 2019’s Insomnia65 Masters.

Travis “L1NK" Mendoza was alongside James “Kryptix” Affleck during his Insomnia65 Masters win, but went on to close out his career with the epic.LAN 29 title. Leading up to these competitions, he won both the Grosvenor Esports Season 1 and Season 2 Finals, in addition to the Insomnia64.

Last but not least, Adam “ec1s” Eccles, who placed second during the ESL Premiership Summer 2018 tournament. He was part of FNATIC Academy for a brief period during the OGA Counter PIT Season 1 and UK Masters Insomnia63, where he placed fourth in both.

ec1s’ tenure with London Esports was his most successful for sure, winning both the ESL Premiership Winter 2018 and Grosvenor Esports Season 1 titles. He ended his career with Vexed Gaming, and still won the Insomnia65 Masters competition in August 2019.
