Apeks have officially announced the signing of Peter "Governor" No, just one week before the start of VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 1.

The move, revealed via the team’s X account, marks a significant roster change as Tautvydas "hype" Paldavicius has been benched in favor of the former TALON player.

Apeks Looking to Rebound After EMEA Kickoff Struggles

Like other Ascension teams in the VCT, Apeks have had a rough start to the 2025 season. Their performance at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Kickoff was particularly disappointing, as they finished dead last after being eliminated by Team Liquid, who later reached the grand finals.

Governor’s International Journey Continues

Governor joins Apeks after spending 2024 with TALON Esports in VCT Pacific. Although TALON had a shaky season last year, they showed improvement towards the end of the year. However, after a 4th-place finish at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Pacific Kickoff, the team opted for a full Thai roster, leading to Governor’s departure.

Now, with this move to Apeks, Governor has competed in three VCT regions—Americas, Pacific, and now EMEA—making him one of the few players with such an extensive international resume.

His experience across multiple regions could provide valuable insights to an Apeks squad looking to establish itself in EMEA.

Tough Debut Against Heretics

Governor’s first match with Apeks will be a challenging one, as they are set to face Team Heretics on March 27 at 5 PM CET. Heretics have solidified themselves as one of the top teams in EMEA, boasting a runner-up finish at VCT 2024 - Champions 2024 and a 3rd-place finish at Kickoff.

With limited time to integrate their new player, Apeks will need to quickly find synergy if they hope to take down one of the region’s strongest teams. Governor’s impact on the roster will be closely watched as Apeks look to turn their season around.
