Around 200 cheaters banned in VALORANT
Cheaters are one of the main problems in competitive games today. That's why the VALORANT developer team decided to include anti-cheat features from the very beginning of the games' development.
Vanguard, the VALORANT anti-cheat system, promised to be able to deal with the most frequent shooters' cheats, but things are not going to be easy for the VALORANT Devs. With the game's rapid popularity, cheater designers set to work finding ways to bypass Vanguard.
This adds to the controversy over the level of access Vanguard has and the security risks it could involve. Riot Games offer up to $100000 for Vanguard bugs as a bounty and, for the users' peace of mind, they added ways to control when Vanguard is active. The principles of operation are the same, in case of deactivation it is necessary to restart the PC to play VALORANT again.
Even though we already had a first ban wave, this didn't stop the cheaters from flooding the Competitive queues especially in Diamond and Immortal ranks. Keep in mind that Vanguard is based on an AI algorithm so as more data and information is added, the ban waves are likely to be more frequent.
The second ban wave followed soon after. It is estimated that over 200 cheaters were banned in the last wave. Besides that, a lot of players are complaining about the amount of cheaters, especially at the top ranks.
