baddyG, MONSTEERR, and simoz LFT as Movistar KOI rebuilds
After ending with a 1-4 score in the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 2 and missing out on playoffs, KOI has begun parting ways with parts of its roster. Kamil "baddyG" Graniczka, Ondřej "MONSTEERR" Petrů, and head coach Simone "simoz" Giovannini have all announced that they’ve been made restricted free agents and are now actively looking for new teams ahead of the 2026 season.
Trio came in together, now leave together
The trio of MONSTEERR, baddyG, and simoz all signed with KOI in May 2025, alongside Nathan "nataNk" Bocqueho. Both simoz and baddyG made the move from DNSTY, where they’d previously worked together as player and coach. baddyG took on the Controller role at KOI, while simoz stepped into the head coach position.
A veteran of teams like Team Vitality, Acend, and FunPlus Phoenix, baddyG made his official VCT debut with KOI. Now, he’s set on staying in VCT EMEA and is open to offers from top-tier teams looking for an experienced Controller.
MONSTEERR, who was promoted from KOI’s academy team KOI Fénix, flexed between Controller and Sentinel roles throughout the 2025 season. In his post on X, he mentioned he’s still under consideration for KOI’s 2026 roster—but plans to explore all opportunities in the meantime.
simoz eyes global opportunities
Being a longtime coach in the VALORANT scene, simoz transitioned from DNSTY to KOI as head coach earlier this year. Following KOI’s Stage 2 exit, simoz hopes to continue coaching at the top level, not only in EMEA but also globally, stating on X that he’s looking for offers from every region. While head coach is his current role, he’s also willing to step into a strategic coach role.
Leaving KOI together, baddyG praised his coach on X, calling him "one of the biggest brains in VALORANT". According to baddyG, simoz could be a major upgrade for any team headed to VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions.
Who's left on KOI?
With baddyG, MONSTEERR, and simoz officially parting ways, three players remain on the active KOI roster.
