Derke, Boo, and trexx join Aurora Gaming ahead of VCT EMEA 2027

Aurora Gaming has officially entered the VALORANT scene with a new roster featuring several familiar names from the European competitive scene ahead of the 2027 Open Qualifiers. Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev, Ričardas "Boo" Lukaševičius, and Nikita "trexx" Cherednichenko, alongside two rookies, will represent the organization in the upcoming Open Qualifiers, which begin in November.

A new chapter for Aurora Gaming

Aurora Gaming is a Serbian esports organization with a presence in several titles, including Apex Legends, Counter-Strike 2, and Dota 2. The organization is now entering VALORANT, having already assembled a roster for the first Open Qualifiers.

One of the biggest surprises is Derke, who recently reached the grand final of VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Champions Shanghai before parting ways with his former team, Team Vitality.

Alongside Derke, Aurora Gaming has signed Boo, the former in-game leader of Team Heretics, and trexx, who previously played for Team Liquid. The roster is completed by two rookies who will make their debut alongside the experienced trio.

Aurora Gaming's VALORANT roster for 2027:

• Nikita "Derke" Sirmitev
• Ričardas "Boo" Lukaševičius
• Nikita "trexx" Cherednichenko
• Vitalik "B1SK" Emelyanov
• Egor "chiwa" Stepaniuk

While chiwa has been without a team since February following a year with Joblife, B1SK joins Aurora Gaming from UCAM Esports, a Spanish esports organization founded and owned by Murcia's Universidad Católica San Antonio.

For the time being, there is still no information regarding Aurora Gaming's coaching staff.

Words from Aurora's CEO

In an X post, Aurora Gaming CEO Adalyat Mamedov shared his thoughts on the organization's new VALORANT roster, highlighting how quickly the team came together ahead of the VCT EMEA 2027 Open Qualifiers.

Today, we signed our VALORANT roster. It marks our entry into one of the most promising titles in esports. We believe this is an incredibly important step for the continued growth of Aurora Gaming. Without a doubt, this was the fastest I've ever seen a roster come together. Somehow, everything seemed to fall into place in just a matter of days: a great coach, amazing players, negotiations, and contracts signed just minutes before the qualifier registration deadline. Special thanks to our Head of Esports, Alexander Lemeshev, for his support throughout the entire process and swift decision-making. Can't wait for our first match!

The European Open Qualifiers are scheduled to take place from November 5 to 8, where the top two teams will qualify for VCT 2027 EMEA Kickoff. Although the event will not have an official broadcast until the Playoffs stage, fans may still be able to follow the action through streams hosted by the organization or the players themselves.
