"The result doesn't really matter": FS Crws on being eliminated from Masters London
The first teams are being eliminated from VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Masters London 2026. During Tuesday’s matches, two teams were sent home from the event. One of them was Pacific representative FULL SENSE, which fell to regional rival Global Esports.
Coming into the tournament as the Pacific region’s second seed, FS showed plenty of promise, with Duelist player Papaphat "Primmie" Sriprapha currently ranking among the top three highest-rated players at the event.
However, one player can only do so much, and FS’s Masters London run came to an early end. THESPIKE had the opportunity to speak with in-game leader and former coach Thanamethk "Crws" Mahatthananuyut after the match. Even after a heartbreaking loss, Crws wore a smile on his face and described how grateful he was to be part of the team’s London journey.
Learned something valuable
After their opening match on the global stage against FUT Esports, Crws said the loss took a major mental toll on the team. The pressure to win took away the fun of competing, so heading into the elimination match against Global Esports, his main goal was simply to enjoy the experience.
I think they played really well so there's nothing to be sad about. I am more happy that we played our game and we look like the team we should have looked like on the first day. So I think that's the biggest step for us because I think this team has a lot of potential. We just didn't show it on the first day. Although we didn't win, I think we showed a lot of heart on the second day and I think that's what matters.
Even though their run was short, several players said during the post-match press conference that they learned a great deal from their time in London. For Crws, the team may not have won the tournament, but he still feels like he is leaving as a winner.
I think we learned something so valuable that I think other teams won't even get this chance. It's something that is very intangible, but it's very big for us.
Made new family
Throughout both the post-match press conference and his interview with THESPIKE, Crws repeatedly thanked the people around him who helped him recover after the team's opening loss.
Among those he highlighted were his former coach Hector "FrosT" Rosario and Thai translator Isara "Rezalett" Puangchompoo.
My translator, who turned mental coach, who turned my brother, became our family. He said something really beautiful and it gave me the fire to just play on stage and have fun. And that's why the result doesn't really matter. It's all about how we got here and how we want to see it after it ends.
Felt immense pressure
Back in April, FS decided a change was needed. As the team's head coach at the time, Crws felt the roster was missing a leader. Together with current head coach Thanaphat "THEE" Limpaphan, he decided to return to the starting lineup as a player.
Since then, FS has surged to the top tier of its region, and Crws is happy with the decision to step back into competition.
I'm just really glad that it worked out. Even though we didn't win, at least we made it here. It's an improvement for sure. So the years before in Thailand, 2024, we were fourth. 2025, we were third. 2026, before coming here in Ho Chi Minh, we were second. So there's only one left, and I hope I can do it before I retire.
Crws plans to continue playing through the remainder of the 2026 season before either retiring or returning to coaching. Because this could be his final opportunity to lift an international trophy, he admitted that the pressure affected both him and the team.
I feel like I'm responsible for every play, for every move, for every loss and for everything that we do as a team. I think I'm responsible for that and I wanted to win so badly that I forgot about why I was here.[...] So it makes them uncomfortable knowing that if I miss this shot I'm gonna lose, we're gonna lose crew's opportunity to lift the trophy and I think it puts a lot of pressure on everyone so today I just told him I don't care. And as you can see in the game I ran out with my knife out, I didn't even play the game I just wanted to just jump around and win or lose doesn't matter to me.
Star player Primmie
For anyone who has watched FS play, it is hard not to notice Duelist star Primmie.
For a year and a half, he played for TALON alongside Crws, but his deepest international run ended with a 13th-16th place finish at VCT 2024 - Champions 2024.
On FS, Primmie has shown the world exactly what he is capable of. When THESPIKE asked Crws about coaching and playing alongside him, the veteran made it clear that Primmie could thrive on any roster in any region.
He's an amazing kid, to be honest. I would love to see him on an international stage. Not going to lie, he speaks good English. I'm just telling every team out there, he can play on any team. He definitely has a bright future in front of him. So I want everybody to give him a chance. Any team. And I'm not hogging him for us, for sure. Unless that's what he wants. I would love to see him be the best of the best.
Last message to the fans
As Crws leaves the global stage for now, he does so with his head held high. While it may not be the best placement of his career, he described this run as one of the most memorable and rewarding experiences he has had in VALORANT.
Now, his focus shifts to VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Pacific Stage 2 and making another push toward international competition.
Before leaving London, he had one final message for the fans:
I'd like to thank all the fans that supported us and I know it didn't turn out the way everyone wanted but I'm trying my best for my country and for the whole team. I know it's not the best but this is the best I could do, and I just hope that we'll do better the next time. But I'll still give my 100%.
