G2 Esports release JonahP ahead of VCT Americas Stage 1

G2 Esports has officially parted ways with longtime support player Jonah "JonahP" Pulice heading into VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Americas Stage 1.

JonahP played an integral part in G2 Esports' tenure in the VCT Americas league, joining the organization after helping The Guard win VCT 2023 - Challengers Ascension: AMERICAS. In his two years with the organization, JonahP helped G2 Esports qualify for five VCT international tournaments and win three domestic titles in the 2025 season. Unfortunately, one of the things that continued to plague the team was their inability to convert that success into international championships.

Where will JonahP go next?

It has been rumored that JonahP will be joining none other than Sentinels for the VCT Americas Stage 1 after missing out on VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Americas Kickoff. The Sentinels organization has struggled to maintain their success seen in the VCT 2024 and VCT 2025 seasons after finishing 9th-10th place at this year's Kickoff. As a result, it was revealed that the team sought to make changes ahead of Stage 1. The team began by releasing longtime head coach Adam "kaplan" Kaplan and acquiring former Rex Regum Qeon head coach Martin "Ewok" Ewok to become the new guiding light for Sentinels.

It will be interesting to see how JonahP performs in his return to the VCT Americas stage and whether he can replicate the success he found on G2. VCT Americas Stage 1 will begin on April 10, 2026.

As for G2 Esports, they are currently competing at VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Masters Santiago 2026, where they are preparing to face All Gamers on March 7, 2026, to kick off their playoff journey. It will be interesting to see if the team can finally convert their domestic success into an international trophy in Santiago, Chile.
