GAM Esports enters VALORANT ahead of the 2027 season

For the first time, GAM Esports is entering the VALORANT scene after being selected as a partner team for the 2027 VCT season. The Vietnamese organization has signed a two-year partnership to compete in the Pacific region, expanding its esports presence beyond League of Legends and Arena of Valor.

GAM Esports expands into VALORANT for 2027

Calling themselves “the pride of Vietnam,” GAM Esports is expanding into VALORANT for the 2027 and 2028 seasons after being selected as one of the Pacific region’s partner teams. With an established presence in Vietnam through titles such as League of Legends, the organization is now taking on a new challenge in the first-person shooter scene.

After a decade of legacy in League of Legends, GAM Esports has been selected by Riot Games as a VCT 2027 partner team, representing Vietnam. A new team. A new stage. Same ambition.

The announcement confirmed GAM Esports as the eighth team selected for the VCT Pacific partnership program. The organization's CEO, Anthony "TK Nguyen" Nguyễn, celebrated the milestone, highlighting GAM's impact on Vietnam's esports scene over the past few years.

In a press release, the CEO also emphasized GAM Esports' long-standing ambition to compete on the world stage, while building a new generation of fans and continuing to grow the movement around the organization.

When we acquired GAM in 2021, our vision was to build something Vietnam could be proud of and represent on the world stage. We've proven what Vietnamese talent can achieve through League of Legends. Now VALORANT gives us another chance to raise the standard, reach a new generation of fans, and keep building the movement. Vietnam has the talent, the passion and the community to compete with the best in the world. Our job is to give that talent the platform, the support and the belief to go further. We're building for the next generation, and we're just getting started. It's GAM TIME!

GAM Esports Presence

Founded in 2016, GAM Esports has built its reputation primarily through League of Legends, becoming one of Vietnam's most prominent esports organizations. The team has won 11 Vietnam Championship Series (VCS) titles and made nine appearances across the Mid-Season Invitational and the League of Legends World Championship, cementing its place in the international scene.

More recently, GAM Esports has expanded into other titles, including Arena of Valor, where the organization also announced its first women's team.

In 2027, GAM Esports will join the VCT Pacific partner teams, securing a direct spot in the Kickoff stage, which is set to take place in Bangkok, Thailand.

VCT 2027-2028

The VALORANT Champions Tour will undergo significant changes across the 2027 and 2028 seasons, introducing a revamped competitive structure with more tournaments and new opportunities for non-partner teams to compete against the best in the world.
