GIANTX sweeps BBL 3-0, secures final EMEA spot for Champions Paris
GIANTX have officially locked down the final EMEA spot for VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions, as they swept BBL Esports in a 3-0 series in the Lower final. With BBL out of the way, GIANTX now sets their sights on Team Liquid, looking for revenge in the Grand Final.
Total domination
It was a scorching start for GIANTX on Ascent, completely shutting down BBL’s map pick. Multiple flawless rounds seemed like a walk in the park as GIANTX stormed through 13-2. Sunset did not look any better for BBL, as GIANTX ran away with the score in the first half. When the map score then turned to 2-0 in favor of GIANTX, the teams entered the third map, Bind. Looking to close out the series quickly, GIANTX kept their momentum rolling and ended the map 13-6.
GIANTX was favored going into the matchup and the reason became obvious as they dominated all three maps. With no specific player topping the leaderboards through all maps, it was a pure team effort that took them all the way to the Grand Final.
Impressive playoff run continues
GIANTX started their playoff run with a win against Natus Vincere in the upper bracket. They then met Liquid, who sent them down to brawl in the lower bracket. Being on the verge of elimination in all following matches didn’t seem to frighten GIANTX, as they sent both Fnatic and NAVI packing.
Fighting their way through the lower bracket, BBL was next on their hit list. After already taking down BBL in the group stage, GIANTX extended their lead in head-to-head matchups to 4-2, with today’s dominant win.
Making it to Champs with three rookies on the squad makes the victory even sweeter for GIANTX. One of those rookies, Miłosz "westside" Duda, also boasts the highest headshot percentage across all regions in Stage 2.
Seeking revenge in the Grand Final
GIANTX's performance in VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - EMEA Stage 2 has been better than ever before in the VCT EMEA. After struggling to make it out of the group stage in previous events during the season, reaching the Grand Final is a major milestone. Earning a ticket to Champs is even bigger, especially since the org hasn't attended an international event in two years.
Waiting for them in the Grand Final is Liquid. They will be a tough opponent, having dropped only one match so far in Stage 2. Set to face the team that sent them to the lower bracket, GIANTX is hungry for revenge and that EMEA trophy.
