Longtime G2 Gozen star Petra retires from competitive play

Longtime G2 Gozen VALORANT player Petra "Petra" Stoker has officially retired from competitive play following the team’s 2025 VALORANT season.

Petra was most recently seen competing at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Game Changers Championship, where she and G2 Gozen finished in 5th-6th place following their series loss to MIBR GC. Now, Petra will be stepping away from competitive VALORANT as she looks towards her next steps, whether that be as a content creator or venturing into other interests.

Petra had first joined G2 Gozen in October of 2021, where she and the rest of the team quickly made their mark on the Game Changers scene. G2 Gozen dominated the European Game Changers circuit and ultimately found themselves winning VCT GC 2022 - Championship.

Since then, Petra had become a mainstay member of the team alongside the team’s IGL Michaela "mimi" Lintrup, where both players maintained their consistency of making every single Game Changers Championship. Following their 2022 winning run, G2 Gozen was able to claim back-to-back third-place finishes at VALORANT Game Changers 2023 - Championship: São Paulo and VCT Game Changers 2024 - Championship. While the 2025 season was a slight regression from their usual dominance, G2 Gozen still maintained their streak of consecutive Game Changer Championship appearances.

What’s next for G2 Gozen in 2026?

G2 Gozen will now be searching for another promising talent to fill the shoes of their longtime veteran player. Additionally, Petra’s departure from G2 Gozen means that mimi is now the sole remaining member of G2 Gozen’s 2022 championship-winning roster.

It will be interesting to see how G2 Gozen fill out the rest of their lineup going into the VCT 2026 season. For now, the team will use the remainder of 2025 to rest up and prepare for next year.
