Following the team's second-place result at VCT 2023 - Challengers Ascension: AMERICAS, all of the players on M80 have announced that they are open to new offers in VALORANT.

M80 CEO Marco Mereu noted that while the company expects to return in 2024 with this club "as a unit," the present roster "has a right to explore any opportunities they feel would be best for them if not with M80."

Three of his colleagues followed shortly after GianFranco "koalanoob" Potestio's announcement of his free agency. Only Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic has not disclosed his present situation, but Prodigy Agency CEO Jérôme Coupez indicated on Twitter that eeiu will also be looking for offers. The statuses of coaches Vincent "Happy" Cervoni and Gunter are currently unknown.

M80 entered VCT Ascension Americas with two titles under their belt and finished 2023 as one of the top teams in Challengers Americas. The team only lost twice in the group stages of the North American Challengers League, posting nearly unblemished records in both the Mid-Season Face Off and the Playoffs of the second split. However, M80 finished second in Ascension, coming within two maps of securing the desired slot in the VCT Americas League for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The Guard prevailed against the team in the best-of-5, as M80 won just one map (Ascent, 13-11), lost the other three, and was defeated 3-1.

The NA Challengers League clubs have published their rosters, and some VCT Americas players have contracts that expire in 2023. As a result, the M80 players are entering a competitive free agency period. After VALORANT Champions 2023 closes on August 26, the offseason will then begin.
