MIBR sold to new owners: EZOR promises to invest $20 million over the next five years
MIBR has officially revealed that it will be sold to a new ownership group, EZOR, which has promised to invest R$100 million (roughly $20 million USD) into the brand over the next five years.
After a promising 5th-6th finish at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions, MIBR will head into 2026 with a new star-studded lineup and a new ownership group, EZOR.
EZOR currently owns another Brazilian team, LOS, formerly known as LOS Grandes. The LOS brand hosts teams in various esports titles, including VALORANT, League of Legends, and Rainbow Six. Their acquisition of MIBR means that the Brazilian holding company will now host two esports organizations from 2026 onward.
Who were MIBR’s previous owners?
Immortals Gaming Group previously owned MIBR since early 2018, serving as a foundational piece in MIBR’s acceptance into the VCT franchising system.
Immortals Gaming Group held a significant stake in esports and, at one point, owned an LCS slot through Immortals, an Overwatch League slot through the Los Angeles Valiant, and briefly a Call of Duty League slot through their acquisition of OpTic Gaming.
However, the Immortals Gaming Group has been slowly exiting esports, with its primary X account, Immortals, inactive since selling its LCS slot ahead of the 2024 season.
The MIBR brand was one of the final sales the ownership group was trying to make. Now, after a strong 5th-6th finish at VALORANT Champions 2025, Immortals Gaming Group will pass on the MIBR branding to holding company EZOR.
The organization has been making several changes to MIBR very quickly to bolster the lineup ahead of the 2026 season. So far, the team has reportedly retained Erick "aspas" Santos and has acquired Sentinels star Zachary "zekken" Patrone, according to Sheep Esports. It will be interesting to see how MIBR’s new ownership group continues to build upon the MIBR brand.
A well-renowned brand in Brazilian esports, MIBR currently competes in VALORANT through two teams, alongside a Counter-Strike division.
