New VALORANT map to debut in Tarik vs. Disguised Toast showmatch at Masters Toronto
In just a few weeks, VALORANT fans will finally get their first look at the next map joining the rotation—and it’s arriving with style. On June 22, during the Grand Finals day at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025, Riot Games will pull back the curtain on the new map with a special showmatch featuring two of the biggest content creators in the scene: Tarik "tarik" Celik and Jeremy "Disguised Toast" Wang.
A 1v1 for the ages?
According to Riot, this match will serve as the official first showcase for the new battleground, giving players a preview before its release in Patch 11.0. While the teaser video suggested a 1v1 duel between Tarik and Toast, there's reason to believe that the showmatch may follow a more traditional team-based format.
In the teaser trailer, both creators are seen reminiscing over how they would play a round on Haven, with multiple agents and strategies being discussed—implying they'll be leading full squads rather than going head-to-head alone. Historically, every Riot-led map reveal has featured 5v5 matches, adding weight to the possibility that Tarik and Toast will take the role of team captains or shotcallers in a more familiar setting.
The new map itself is shaping up to be one of the most strategically dynamic additions to VALORANT yet. Riot has teased that it will “shake up how you think about taking and holding sites,” with each bomb site described as "layered and complex." This could mean more verticality, intricate angles, and deeper site control mechanics—all designed to challenge teams on both offense and defense.
Toast vs. Tarik
From an entertainment standpoint, all eyes will be on Tarik, who brings a wealth of FPS experience, including years as a pro in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. His understanding of high-level gameplay, quick adaptation, and creative approach to strategy makes him the early favorite to take the spotlight. Expect him to push the limits of what’s possible on the new map with unorthodox tactics and experimental plays.
Meanwhile, Disguised Toast brings his own unique style and massive fanbase to the table. While not a competitive FPS veteran like Tarik, his clever thinking and ability to rally a squad could lead to surprising moments—and of course, plenty of content.
Whether it’s a one-on-one standoff or a full-blown team match, the showmatch will serve as the first official gameplay reveal of the new map, making it a must-watch for anyone eager to get ahead of the meta. This is the first map debut since Abyss, and with the new design philosophy teased by Riot, it could set the tone for the rest of the season.
The showmatch will be broadcast on VALORANT’s official Twitch and YouTube channels, and is expected to draw massive viewership from both competitive fans and casual players alike. If you’re hoping to get a leg up on your next ranked grind—or just want to see what the future of VALORANT looks like—make sure to tune in on June 22. Patch 11.0 will launch shortly after Masters Toronto, bringing the new map to the live servers and into the competitive rotation.
