Nongshim RedForce sign yoman as a coach for 2026

Nongshim RedForce have announced a surprising addition to their VALORANT roster. Former Global Esports and Gen.G Esports player Chae "yoman" Young-mun has been confirmed as a coach for the 2026 season. The organization confirmed the signing via social media, revealing that Yoman will not return as a player, but instead transition into a coaching role for the upcoming season.

A Familiar Face Returns

This move marks a return for the Korean player, who previously wore the instant ramyeon-sponsored jersey back in 2024. Yoman competed with the roster during VCL 2024 - Korea: Split 1 and VCL 2024 - Korea Split 2, before later being picked up by Gen.G. His competitive path since then has been eventful. After representing Gen.G through the 2024 off-season and VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Pacific Kickoff, he found himself benched for the first stage of the season.

Eventually, Yoman made his way to Global Esports, where he played during VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Pacific Stage 2, bringing valuable international experience to the Indian organization.

Beyond the Pacific league, Yoman has also competed in the Chinese VALORANT scene, representing Rare Atom with an impressive second-place finish at VCT Ascension China 2023. His early years in the Korean tier-2 circuit dating back to 2022 helped shape his understanding of the regional ecosystem – experience that may now serve him well as he steps into a more behind-the-scenes role.

Strengthening the Coaching Unit

Yoman’s addition deepens Nongshim RedForce’s strategic backbone, joining head coach Kim "SilKanoN" Gyeong-min and So "sungmin" Seong-min on the team’s coaching roster. While it remains to be seen how his influence will manifest in their gameplay, his transition from seasoned player to coach reflects a natural evolution in the esports ladder.
