Sentinels and zekken part ways, ending three-year long tenure

Sentinels have officially parted ways with star duelist Zachary "zekken" Patrone, putting an end to a three-year-long tenure with the organization.

The 2025 season was one in which Sentinels shone domestically but struggled internationally. After qualifying for every single international tournament in 2025, Sentinels were unable to find similar success on the international stage. Both Sentinels and their players looked to weigh their best options going forward into 2026. Now, it has officially been revealed that Sentinels superstar zekken has left the team after three years.

zekken first joined Sentinels ahead of the VCT 2023 season after spending two years as a part of XSET. Throughout this tenure, zekken played a key role in Sentinels success throughout his three years with the organization. Some of his most notable highlights include winning VCT 2024 - Americas Kick-off and VCT 2024 - Masters Madrid, as well as a fourth-place finish at VCT 2024 - Champions 2024.

However, the VALORANT star will be looking to take his talents elsewhere as he heads into the VCT 2026 season.

What’s next for Zekken in VCT 2026?

According to reports from THESPIKE.GG Brazil’s Bruno Povoleri, zekken will be headed to the MIBR super team ahead of the VCT 2026 season. He will play alongside former world champion Erick "aspas" Santos as they look to win an international trophy together.

As for Sentinels, they will be looking to rebuild their lineup going into the VCT 2026 season, following a tough international season in 2025. It will be interesting to see how the popular VALORANT team rebuilds its legacy as it enters 2026. Reports have indicated that the team will be retaining Marshall "N4RRATE" Massey and Amine "Johnqt" Ouarid, while also adding former MIBR sentinel Gabriel "cortezia" Cortez and Cubert Academy IGL Mirel "Kyu" Braco Hrustemovic.

Both Sentinels and zekken will have the opportunity to showcase their new journeys independently of each other in the VCT 2026 season.
