Sentinels have been eliminated from VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Toronto 2025 by Fnatic in a nail-biter of a series in the second round of the lower bracket, finishing 5-6th overall.

Despite starting strong on Sunset, a map that has historically been one of their best, the map veto was not in their favor this game as FNATIC were able to close out both Ascent and Icebox, some of Sentinels' weaker maps. Emir "Alfajer" Ali Beder spearheaded the way to his team's victory, especially on Icebox where the ringing shots of his many Operator kills were like blows to Sentinels' morale.

Bright skies ahead in Sen City?

While going out before reaching the top four might be disappointing for a team that was hyped up during the off-season to reach the same potential they did in VCT 2024 - Masters Madrid, the Sentinels players seem to be viewing this loss as positively as they can. After a disastrous performance at VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Masters Bangkok 2025, winning three games at this next Masters event should already be seen as an improvement.

With VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Americas Stage 2 and VALORANT Champions Tour 2025 - Valorant Champions on the horizon, time is of the essence for this growing Sentinels squad. While continuous improvement has been shown, it is evident that they are nowhere near the title contenders they were last year. More time for the team to gel together, to bring up Sean "bang" Bezerra and Marshall "N4RRATE" Massey to completely fill the hole Tyson "TenZ" Ngo and Gustavo "Sacy" Rossi left, and for Adam "kaplan" Kaplan to have a better feel for the meta could see Sentinels reach their peak form for Champions, a culmination of the failures this squad has had in 2025.

To keep up with Sentinels' road to Champions as well as more Masters Toronto coverage, stay tuned into THESPIKE.GG
