Sentinels win SEN Invitational 2025: Key takeaways going into the VCT 2026 season
Sentinels have been officially crowned the champions of the Sentinels Invitational 2025 as their new roster looks forward to the VCT 2026 season.
The 2025 Sentinels Invitational saw FURIA, 100 Thieves, Shopify Rebellion Black, and Sentinels all battle it out with one another for offseason glory as the four teams looked to gain practice ahead of the VCT 2026 season.
The tournament kicked off with a three-way battle as all three teams ended with 2-1 records by the end of the first two days. However, the tiebreaker ultimately went to Shopify Rebellion, who had the best round differential between all three teams. As a result, SEN had to play 100 Thieves in the semifinals on day three of the SEN Invitational to determine who got to face Shopify Rebellion in the Grand Final.
In the end, the rivalry between the two teams proved to be onesided as Sentinels quickly dismantled 100 Thieves 2-0 to move forward into the Grand Final against Shopify Rebellion.
Sentinels win SEN Invitational 2025
Map one of the Grand Final on Pearl saw both Sentinels and Shopify Rebellion battle closely with one another as the scoreline stood at 7-5 in favour of Shopify at the half. The Tier 2 VCL team was able to even secure an 11-7 lead at one point, but ultimately fell short of securing the upset on map one as Sentinels' Amine "Johnqt" Ouarid was a shining star the team, leading the comeback.
Map two on Haven saw both sides battle closely once again as the first half ended in a close 6-6 affair. However, Sentinels really began to shine in the second half as the new-look Shopify Rebellion was stunned. While the team was able to add on a few more kills and rounds, it wasn’t enough to stop Sentinels from winning their second VALORANT offseason tournament and be crowned the winners of the SEN Invitational 2025.

What this victory means for Sentinels 2026
With this victory, Sentinels have capped off their VCT offseason performance as the team now looks forward to the start of the VCT 2026 season. After winning both the VCT OFF Season - SEN City Classic 2025 and the SEN Invitational, this win marks the start of a promising showing for the new iteration of Sentinels as they set their sights on replicating their success in the offseason on the VCT Americas stage.
The new Sentinels roster will look to make a dark horse run to VCT Masters Santiago. For now, the new team will have its sights set on performing well at VALORANT Champions Tour 2026 - Americas Kickoff, starting on January 15, 2025.
As for Shopify Rebellion, this marks the end of a promising showing right before they compete in the VCL 2026 circuit, where they will be looking to build a team that can make the Cinderella run to VALORANT Champions Shanghai at the end of the year. For now, they will continue to go through trials as the team looks to figure out how they want to build out their team in 2026.
