Should VALORANT better reward getting six kills?

Ace, Pentakill, Rampage, 5K, Sextuple kill - it has many names, but happens on the same occasion, no matter the game - when a single player gets a finishing blow on all enemy players. These are very special moments, even if they happen for ally or friends, that stay with players for a long time. I will never forget my first Pentakill in League of Legends back in 2011 as Kayle. It’s been 9 years since that happened, but I remember it like it was yesterday. In VALORANT, just like in CS:GO, when a single player eliminates 5 enemy players, he gets an ace. The only difference is that in VALORANT, players can get two Aces in a single round.

How does it happen? It’s not rocket science - the enemy just needs a Sage to resurrect somebody, so that person can be eliminated once again for the 6th kill. What is interesting is that the game acknowledges the difference between 5 or 6 kills by a single player. The “elimination skull” gets a 6th light around it whenever that happens, but it’s still called an “Ace”, the announcer says the same thing and the sound effect of it is also the same as it is for 5 kills. It’s kind of disappointing, considering how rarely that happens in the first place.

Reddit user Will2WinYT thinks that there should be a different sound cue for the second Ace, because, as he says, “(...) others can understand that this player just had a huge clutch play and killed not only every player but one of the enemy players twice in that single round.” We totally agree with this and think that a 6K is something you don’t see every day, it’s almost impossible to pull off, so something more rewarding than just an additional light around the “elimination skull” makes sense. There is no need for confetti, but maybe a surprising announcer message or a special voice line for every Agent, not believing what just happened, could make these moments even more memorable and special. Maybe something similar to Overwatch's voice lines when a player is on a high kill streak:

A different name for it could be really rewarding as well. Some Redditors suggested names like “Super Ace” or “Overkill”, but my favorite suggestion is “Wasted Sage Ult”, which is really goofy, but it’s kinda the only way how a 6th kill can even happen. On the other hand, two times in the history of League of Legends there was a 6vs6 game mode for a very limited time. It was possible to achieve a “Hexakill” during that time and the way the announcer was saying it, it sounded like she couldn’t believe that she actually just witnessed a Hexakill. Since VALORANT doesn’t need a special game mode for this, it would be really great to see some kind of tiny reward for players who pull it off.

As a fun fact, you can technically get even 7 kills in two ways. If you include Phoenix ultimate it could be considered as an “unofficial” 7K, but killing him in his ultimate doesn't count as a kill nor does it go to the player's KDA. Technically he doesn’t die during his ultimate, only his fire clone gets destroyed. The second way is during Spike Rush, Sage can use her ultimate twice in a single round in this game mode, but we haven’t seen anyone pulling that off yet.

Do you think 6 eliminations should be more rewarding? Or maybe you have some ideas for a name? Like always, leave your comments below, we can’t wait to see what you come up with!
